3 ABOUT TTMD has been founded in 1992 to develop the services given by Mechanical Engineering in heating, refrigerating, air conditioning, ventilating, plumbing, insulation and fire extinguishing fields. Currently TTMD is one of the biggest non-governmental organizations (NGO) in Turkey having more than 2000 professional members of engineers, designers, contractors, manufacturers, academicians. TTMD is independent association since the members are individuals. Due to this fact, the decisions can be taken in order to bring added value to our scope in Turkey. TTMD is an umbrella association. 3

4 TTMD carries out many activities with universities, industry, research institutions and other professional expert groups for the objectives of creating living areas which are environmentally friendly, utilizing the energy more efficiently and having more sophisticated buildings and installations in it. Doing this, TTMD carries out the information and technology transfer. TTMD represents the Turkish engineers in international platforms and keeps being in contact with international professional associations, following the technological developments and transferring them to its members. 4

28 IBPSA Turkish Chapter AEE Turkish Chapter International Building Performance Simulation Association Regional Affiliate Established 17th November 2017 Currently in Turkey there are about 250 thousand mechanical, civil and electrical engineers and more than 50 thousand architects who are actively working in the construction sector. Even if only a small percentage of these professionals has an interest in building performance simulation this still easily amounts to 3,000 professionals that relate to IBPSA activities. IBPSA-Turkey s objective is to provide a forum for the exchange of information between researchers, developers and practitioners operating in the area of building performance 28

32 PROJECTS COPILOT offers independent ISO-accredited supervision and certification of the commissioning of chiller, boiler, heat pump, air handing unit, VRF and other HVAC installations. We also propose HVAC monitoring, comfort alerts and troubleshooting solutions to improve post-occupancy performance. HVAC engineers use our digital applications to add value to their commissioning of commercial buildings, following COPILOT Standards. Building owners benefit from improved quality and reduced uncertainty. 32
