3 Alliance for Response- Miami As a member of ESF 18 the Alliance for Response (AFR) - Miami is dedicated to building a partnership between the art and cultural community and the first responder and emergency management community in Miami-Dade and Monroe counties. The goals of the Alliance are: To facilitate a partnership between the Alliance members, first responders and emergency managers in Miami-Dade and Monroe counties. This partnership is meant to enhance cooperation and understanding before the next emergency and/or disaster. To provide preparedness and outreach opportunities for both the art and cultural community, the first responders and the emergency management community. Develop a robust incident command structure for the Alliance to respond to large-scale emergencies and disasters.

4 Alliance for Response- Miami Cont.. Is composed of a group of curators, archivists, librarians, preservation specialists, conservators, emergency management personnel, safety and security staff, and individuals with an interest in protecting cultural institutions and collections. Some of our members include: Miami-Dade County Cultural Affairs Department Wolfsonian-FIU Patricia and Phillip Frost Museum of Science Vizcaya Museum & Gardens Zoo Miami Rosa Lowinger & Associates Florida Connecting to Collection/Florida Association of Museums University of Miami Florida International University

5 Alliance for Response- Miami Cont.. On an annual basis AFR Miami offers tabletop exercises, training courses and other educational and networking activities for members. They also work together during an emergency and/or disaster to support our members and protect their institutions.

7 Evacuation Center Medications The following ESF 18 corporate partners have committed to delivering medications to evacuation centers post-disaster: Walgreens CVS Caremark Winn-Dixie Walmart

8 Evacuation Center Medications Cont.. ESF 18 (Business & Industry) is responsible for collecting and reporting on the status of the ESF 18 networking organizations and corporate partners during an EOC activation. This includes the status and capabilities of the box stores and grocery stores within the county. This reporting will include the following information: Individual Store Status (Open/Closed) Pharmacy status Physical Damage to the facility When will the store reopen? Life Safety Issues

9 Evacuation Center Medications Cont.. In the event a client at an evacuation center is in need of prescription medications. The EOC Human Services Branch Director will make a request to the ESF 18 position. This request will contain the following information: Medications needed Last Dosage Taken by client Next dosage due Client s existing pharmacy (if available) Evacuation Center location Caregiver s point of contact (if applicable) These individual requests will be included in a summary report which will be sent to the ESF corporate partners participating. These partners will then indicate to ESF 18 which requests they will meet and their estimated time of completion.

10 Credentialing Just a reminder regarding credentialing: A photo identification (preferably a company ID) A letter from their employer stating that they are an essential employee. A 24-hour phone # to verify their identity. They should also provide a letter to their vendors that they need to enter the area for deliveries or services. (Banks may need to have Brinks come and remove money if a branch cannot reopen.) State Guidance:
