6 Presentation Quality assurance - Environment Quality assurance certified quality: ISO 9001 A major asset TGOOD is a highly functional organization with the primary role of checking quality and monitoring compliance with standards. This policy is: Uniform throughout all departments. Recognized and appreciated by our many customers and approved organizations. But above all, it is our strict adherence to the quality policy that has allowed us to obtain the recognition of an independent organization, the International Accreditation Forum (IAF). Ourquality system, for the design and manufacture of TGOOD s skid substations, is certified to.conform with the requirements of ISO 9001:2015 s quality assurance standards. Strict and systematic checks During manufacture each skid substation s functional unit is subjected to systematic routine testing with the aim of checking the quality and conformity of the following features: Measuring of opening and closing speeds Dielectric test Testing of safety systems and interlocks Testing of low voltage components Conformity with drawings and diagrams The results obtained are recorded and approved by the quality control department on each device s test certificate, guaranteeing product traceability. Environment protection As part of the group s environmental policy, TGOOD offers a service to recover and dispose of end-of-life high voltage switchgears, thereby helping to eliminate any risk of SF 6 gas discharge into the atmosphere. To help you protect the environment and to relieve you of any concerns in terms of stock or dismantling, TGOOD offer to take back your equipment at the end of its life. The skid substation has been designed with environmental protection in mind: All materials used, for instance insulators and conductors, are identified, easily separable and recyclable. SF 6 in the skid substation can be recovered at theend of the equipment s life and reused after treatment. Production sites are certified to ISO standards. Occupational health and safety Occupational Health and Safety (OH&S) standards are of the highest importance at TGOOD. TGOOD demonstrates its commitment towards the control of risks and the improvement in performance of OH&S by complying to OHSAS 18001:2007,22 standards certified by the China National Accreditation Service (CNAS). TGOOD management believes in a process approach. Its policy is based on the plan do check act (PDCA) methodology that focuses on eliminating or minimizing risks to personnel and other involved parties who are or could be exposed to OH&S hazards. Strong control mechanisms are in place to assure that TGOOD s OH&S performance not only meets, but will continue to meet, its legal and policy requirements. 4

7 Presentation Skid substation introduction Challenges in substation load transfer Insufficient construction area - difficult to obtain or insufficient space for facilities, storage and operation. Potential safety risks - temporary loads on site are served by old equipment, which increases safety risks. Unacceptable long power-off time - complicated reconstruction methods increase power-off time. Difficult load transfer - the substation s existing old lines cannot take the load during reconstruction. Long construction duration - time needed for reconstruction is determined by the time needed for constructing the main building and assembly of equipment. TGOOD solution Thanks to TGOOD s rich R&D experience and the core technology used in skid mounted prefabricated substations, they can be used in widely different industry segments, worldwide, including mining, utility and infrastructure applications. The innovative design of the skid substation also means it can meet the required needs for load transfer. The skid mounted substation is designed to meet the needs of temporary power supply on construction sites, substation maintenance and substation load transfer. It is composed of a: HV/LV distribution equipment building Transformer module The main features of the skid substation are: Speed - fast movement, fast response, rapid deployment and fast energisation. Easy construction - the primary and secondary systems of the substation are integrated, the skid substation is manufactured, assembled and commissioned in the factory, on site construction is easy (no room, no walls, no cable trench, no complicated foundation). Compactness - highly integrated design, compact structure, able to meet ergonomic requirements. Optimized design - vibration reduction measures are taken into account for primary and secondary systems. Advanced technology - heat insulation, temperature and humidity control technology are applied to secure the stability of the operational environment inside the enclosure. Anti-corrosion - the best-in-class anti-corrosion technology is used to prevent the skid substation from rusting for 30 years. This enables the skid substation to be used in areas of high UV, high salt spray and other harsh environments. 5

10 Skid substation Design and structure Skid substation Overview The skid substation is suited for industrial use.it is easily assembled, disassembled and transported. The primary system and secondary system are integrated into a transportable, sealed, moisture resistant and anti-rust double layers cabinet in the factory. At the same time, the assembly, testing and adjustments of the primary and secondary systems are completed in the factory. When the skid substation arrives at the site it can be energized after required testing. 145kV skid substation 8

12 Design and structure Components Circuit breakers with high performance of electromagnetic compatibility and anti-interference protection. Layout of skid substation 40.5kV and 12kV: the metal-enclosed switchgear is arranged in a single row and the maintenance corridor is set. 145kV: except for 40.5kV and 12kV substation, the additional HV HGIS is located on top of the 40.5kV/12kV building. Outdoor application The skid substation has a protection level of IP54. Easy construction - no house, wall, cable trench, foundation, or operator needed. Mobile application The pullable skid design is convenient for assembly, disassembly and transportation, helping meet mobile application needs. Sheet steel Insulation material Hot zinc spray Zinc coating Zinc painting Surface painting Anti-corrosion The enclosure and frame use a welded 4mm cold rolled steel plate construction with improved strength and tightness. The cabinet uses a double-layer structure to create a constant internal environment. An advanced anticorrosive process is used inside and outside the enclosure. Zinc plus protection and thermal sprayed zinc ensure that the enclosure is rust free for 30 years. The skid substation is well suited for use in dusty, contaminative and harsh environments. Enclosure design Impact resistance is provided by double layer metal sheeting. Use of fridge insulation technology provides heat conduction coefficient at 0.30W/m 2 C. The nonflammable foam fill provides heat insulation in summer and heat preservation in winter. Broken bridge heat insulation technology can ensure an ambient temperature of -40 C~+40 C (higher or lower temperature optional). Anti-vibration design Structural stress analysis and mechanical strength finite element analysis and verification are used for the reinforced frame design. The industrial rubber vibration isolation cushion and vibration isolation device ensure the connection strength of the switchgear and can limit low frequency vibrations. High-quality low-power, cold-rolled silicon steel sheets are used for the transformer strength to aid in anti-vibration. The entire core is compressed with uniform pressure when assembling to prevent the transformer core from loosening. The number of transformer substructure and structure restraint points has been increased. A dynamic isolation system is provided to improve the strength level of the fastener so that the transformer can be fixed on the vehicle platform safely and reliably. 10

A dedicated cable cap protection is used for the incoming line, and a fullcopper explosion-proof outdoor cable connector is used for the outgoing line. The outgoing line is led out from the side of the cabinet without cable trenching, which is convenient when pulling the skid. Interlocking To prevent on-load closing, the disconnector cannot be opened or closed when the circuit breaker is closed. To prevent any incorrect opening or closing of the circuit breaker, it cannot be operated when the disconnector is closed. To prevent live earthing, the earthing switch cannot be operated when the circuit breaker or disconnector is closed. To prevent energizing when the earthing is connected, the circuit breaker or disconnector cannot be operated when the earthing is connected. To prevent unsafe access to a live bay, the lower door of the switchgear can only be opened when the earthing switch is closed. 11

15 Main components MV metal-enclosed switchgear up to 40.5 kv Features MV metal-enclosed switchgear up to 40.5 kv is highly reliable, light weight, easily operated, convenient to maintain, compact and does not get damaged when being transported. The switchgear is made using industrialized advanced digital machining to ensure a high quality product. Whilst ensuring safety standards are met, the busbar compartment, LV compartment, CB compartment and cable compartment have been rationalized. Composite insulation is used so that the switchgear is compact in size. The protection relay and electric meter are installed inside the switchgear to protect the 40.5kV line and transformer. 16 Main components MV metal-enclosed switchgear up to 17.5kV Features The 17.5kV metal enclosed switchgear is a newly designed fixed type switchgear.the disconnector, circuit breaker and earthing switch have been rationalized. The switchgear is made using digital control processing and using aluminum zinc coated sheets. The protection level is IP3X. It has a reliable mechanical interlock, with the ability to prevent incorrect operation. It is highly reliable, small, light weight, easily operated, maintenance free and has a long lifetime. The positions of the disconnector and earthing switch can be seen clearly through the inspection window. The safety pressure relief devices for the cable and disconnector/busbar compartment are installed at the back and top of the cabinet. When an internal arc fault occurs in the switchgear, the pressure relief plates are opened backwards and upwards, quickly, and the energy generated by the electric arc is released to ensure the safety of personnel and normal operation of the equipment. 18 Auxiliary system design Lighting system Lights are installed in the substation corridor and the cabinet. The in-station searchlight is installed outside the substation. Smoke detection system Detection and control of fires is achieved using a smoke detector that is connected directly to the master control center, alerting personnel on duty of any smoke detected. Temperature and humidity control system To keep the temperature and humidity constant in the cabinet and to ensure more reliable operation of the components, the cabinet is equipped with a condensation and temperature probe. During winter when the temperature decreases, the thermal management system can ensure a constant temperature inside the substation. During summer the ventilation system can be used for ventilation and cooling. Power system The substation transformer is set in a 12kV unit; there is an option of a three phase or single-phase dry type transformer. Optional capacity is 10~30kVA. UPS is set to supply breaker operation, protection, automatization and communication devices. Monitoring, indication and protection system The substation is equipped with high and low temperature resistance and strong anti-interference capability. Line protections are installed separately and the main transformer protection and communication control unit have a dedicated panel. Electric meters are installed for the incoming and outgoing lines of the substation. Intelligent controllers indicate the state of all units. Outdoor indicator lamps outside the enclosure indicate the state of the outgoing line. Open door alarm system When the door is opened an alarm signal is sent upstream to the management station. 16

24 Transportation, hoisting and maintenance Transportation The substation can be transported easily due to its skid structure. It can bepulled by traction equipment for short distances ortransported by truck for longer distances. Hoisting Each skid substation has four hoisting lugs. The strength of the hoisting system is evaluated through finite element analysis to ensure it is safe and reliable. TGOOD has designed tools to protect the substation from being damaged when hoisted.for more details of hoisting, please refer to the TGOOD skid substation user manual. Maintenance The TGOOD skid substation only needs limited maintenance. TGOOD offer to inspect and maintain the skid substation depending on the running time, operation frequency and breaking times of the short-circuit fault. It is recommended that only TGOOD employees are used for maintenance. Maintenance must only be executed by well-trained full-time personnel with good knowledge of the substation, IEC standards, and relevant safety specifications. Other important guidelines specified by other technical organizations must be respected. The maintenance period of parts depends on the working condition of the substation, load status and environmental impact (pollution, corrosive air, etc.).
