The operational characteristics of this design will be significantly impacted due to economic, regulatory, and policy changes Technology, economic, regulatory, and policy changes are leading to a very different generation mix, with different fundamental characteristics (e.g., frequency response and inertia behavior, protection, just-in-time fuel delivery) Industry is proactively focusing on risk-informed planning, improved modeling, and developing operational strategies to address these changes 3
