4 Manufacturing 100 Dashboard The Manufacturing 100 Dashboard provides insight into all warehouse transactions including issued parts, labor entry transactions, and status. Using the Dashboard, you can view warehouse statistics, number of transactions by employee or day, the average time for each transaction worked, and transactions in progress, processed, or rejected. Within the Dashboard, you can also change information about transactions in progress before they are sent to Sage 100. The Dashboard lets you filter information so it s easy to find the exact data you need. It also provides useful charts and graphs so you can quickly view metrics vital to your company. When needed, data can be printed or exported from the Dashboard to a CSV file. Before you Begin The Dashboard is included with Manufacturing 100. To use Manufacturing 100, you must have Mobility for Bar Code and EZ Import installed, and your system settings and permissions must be set up. For more information, see your system administrator or these guides: Scanner Setup User Manual to set up your scanning devices. Scanco Portal Setup Administrator Guide to set up manufacturing 100 users and profiles. Available Features and Options The Dashboard will show some features and options that are not used, nor accessible for Manufacturing 100. Those options are disabled and appear dimmed. 4

5 Working in the Manufacturing 100 Dashboard Log In and Out of the Dashboard From the Dashboard Login window, type or select your User name or ID. Type your Password. Click Login. To see system settings, click Settings. Basic Instructions and Use There are many common options and functions throughout the Manufacturing 100 Dashboard. This section describes the basics for working in the application. Selecting Transactions in the Dashboard You can select one or more transactions (line items) in the Dashboard to perform certain actions such as changing transaction data or submitting transactions to Sage 100. The following describes how to select more than one transaction at a time. To select multiple, consecutive line items in the Dashboard: Click the first line item you want to select. Press and hold the SHIFT key. Then, click the last item to include in your selection. To select multiple, non-consecutive line items: Click the first item you want to select. Press and hold the CTRL key. Continue clicking on line items to include them in your selection. 5

6 Using the Filter to Find Transactions The list of transactions you view in the Dashboard can be lengthy, making it difficult to find only specific transactions. However, you can reduce the list to easily find transactions using a filter. Filters use And/Or statements and an operand to either include or exclude transactions in your search. To find transactions using the Filter 1. From the Filter list, select And or Or based on the information you want to include in your results. 2. From the Value list, select a value to display only results with that value. 3. Select an operand to limit your selection to a particular value or range of values. (See the Appendix for a list of operands and their use.) 4. Enter the quantity, text, or other required component in the field to the right of the operand field (e.g., a number or name matching the value.) 5. Click Add. 6. (Optional) Continue to select filter options as needed. Click Add after each option selected. 7. Click Clear to clear the filter. The results show transactions that match only the criteria you specified. The following example is provided to help you learn more about using filters. Example: Let s say you want to display only transactions for orders in Warehouse 000, and only for a specific range of Lot Serial numbers, you could do the following: 1. Set the Filter to AND. 2. Select Warehouse from the Value field. 3. Set the operand to equal to (=), then enter 000 in the field to the right of the operand field. Click Add. 4. Leave the Filter to AND. Select LotSerialNo from the Value field. 5. Set the operand to greater than or equal to (>=), then enter 1 in the field next to the operand field. Click Add. 6

7 Parts Usage Transactions and Metrics To view parts usage transactions 1. In the Dashboard, select the Company you want to view transactions for. 2. Click the Part Usage tab. 3. From the View list, select the type of information you want to view for each transaction. In Progress. Shows all parts usage transactions in progress. Processed. Shows all parts usage transactions that are completed and submitted to Sage 100. Rejected. Shows all parts usage transactions that were rejected during the import to Sage 100. The Dashboard shows transactions for the view selected. The number of transactions (Rows) are listed at the bottom of the screen. 4. Scroll right to view more columns of information. TIP: You can use the Filter to find and display only specific transactions. See, Using the Filter to Find Transactions. Labor Entry Transactions and Metrics To view labor entry transactions 1. In the Dashboard, select the Company you want to view transactions for. 2. Click the Labor Entry tab. 3. From the View list, select the type of information you want to view for each labor entry transaction. In Progress. Shows all labor entries in progress. Processed. Shows labor transactions that are completed and submitted to Sage 100. The Dashboard shows transactions for the view selected. The number of transactions (Rows) are listed at the bottom of the screen. 4. Scroll right to view more columns of information. 8 Make To Stock Transactions and Metrics To view Make To Stock transactions 1. In the Dashboard, select the Company you want to view transactions for. 2. Click the Make to Stock tab. 3. From the View list, select the type of information you want to view for each make-to-stock transaction. In Progress. Shows all make-to-stock transactions in progress. Processed. Shows make-to-stock transactions that are completed and submitted to Sage 100. Rejected. Shows all make-to-stock transactions that were rejected during the import to Sage 100. The Dashboard shows transactions for the view selected. The number of transactions (Rows) are listed at the bottom of the screen. 4. Scroll right to view more columns of information. See, Using the Filter to Find Transactions. Time Card Transactions and Metrics To view Time Card transactions 1. In the Dashboard, select the Company you want to view transactions for. 2. Click the Time Card tab. 3. From the View list, select the type of information you want to view for each time card transaction. In Progress. Shows all time card transactions in progress. Processed. Shows transactions that are completed and submitted to Sage 100. Rejected. Shows all time card transactions that were rejected during the import to Sage 100. See, Using the Filter to Find Transactions. Status Update Transactions and Metrics To view Status Update transactions 1. In the Dashboard, select the Company you want to view transactions for. 2. Click the Status Update tab. 3. From the View list, select the type of information you want to view for each status update. In Progress. Shows status update transactions in progress. Processed. Shows status updates made and submitted to Sage 100. Rejected. Shows all status update transactions that were rejected during the import to Sage

Manually Posting Transactions When the option to automatically send transactions to Sage has not been set up in the portal, you must manually post transactions. Once transactions are submitted or sent from the app, they appear in the Dashboard as in progress or processing. From here, you can manually post one or more transactions. (For more information about setting up transactions to automatically send to Sage, see Scanco s Portal Setup Administrator Guide.) To manually post transactions to Sage 1. Select one or more transactions to post. 2. Click Post Selected. Changing Transaction Records in the Dashboard For any transaction that has not been submitted to Sage 100 (i.e., a transaction in progress or in process), you can change or remove information about it directly in the dashboard. For example, you can change the status of a parts usage record, the time an employee tracked into Manufacturing 100, or remove information that may not be needed. Column headings with bolded text indicates information can be changed. To change information in a transaction 1. Select a transaction to change. (You can only edit one transaction at a time.) 2. Click in the cell where you want to change information, then type or select new data. 9

10 Displaying Metrics in a Chart To make complex data and data relationships easier to understand, you can show the progress of transactions in a graph or pie chart. To display metrics in a chart 1. Select the tab you want to create a chart for (e.g., Parts Usage, Labor Entry, etc.). 2. Click the View menu. Then, click Chart. NOTE: This option works as a toggle key. To switch back to the list view, click Chart again. 3. From the View list, select the type of transaction statistics you want to view (e.g, Processed, In Progress, etc.). 10

11 Print and Export Data To print or export data to CSV 1. Click the File menu. Do one of the following: Click Print. Hover over Export CSV, and then select either Include Headers or No Headers. 2. Complete the remaining actions as required. NOTE: For more information about using the print and export features, see Microsoft s Help. 11

12 Appendix Filter Operands Operand Function = Equal To. Provides only information that is equal to the value selected. > Greater Than. Provides only information that is greater than, but not equal to the value entered. < Less Than. Provides only information that is less than, but not equal to the value entered. >= Greater Than or Equal To. Provides only information that is equal to OR greater than the value entered. <= Less Than or Equal To. Provides only information that is equal to OR less than the value entered. < > Not Equal To. Provides only information that is NOT equal to the value entered. %[value] [value]% %[value]% Like. This allows you to search for values starting with, ending with, or containing a certain set of information. The operand requires using % before, after, or surrounding the value. Example: To search for an item where you know the name includes IRV. %IRV returns a list of items ending with IRV IRV% returns a list of items beginning with IRV. %IRV% returns a list of items containing IRV somewhere in their name. 12
