1 Master Process Template Sample Import master-process-sample.maa into Business Studio (4.2 or later). Use Case The use case for this application is as follows: Each day XYZ corp manages trade reconciliations. Cases are automatically created for each account. Then trade information is received during that day with trade details. The trade details must be matched to the reconciliation and confirmed by a user before the reconciliation is completed. This example Case Management Template uses a Master Process Approach to implement this application. The implementation approach is explained here: Example Scenario In the reconciliation_creators project -> reconciliation_testers.xpdl there are two tester Business Services: The Send Reconciliations Business Service allows auto-generation of a configurable number of cases by calling createreconciliationcase REST service (implemented as AMX:BPM Service Process). The case is set to WAITING state and waits on a configurable duration (default 10 minutes) to receive trade data. If data is received the case state is changed to PENDING and the case is automatically sent for allocation. Once a manager has allocated the task to a team the case is set to the state REVIEW and a review task is created. Note: If trade data is not received after the configurable duration the case is automatically sent for allocation even though trade data is missing and users would have to manually enter trade data. Once a user completed the review task the case is set to the state COMPLETE.

2 Run Through You can use openspace to understand the application, however typically a case management application would be created, for example using the Case Management Accelerator: Deploy projects Import master-process-sample.maa into Business Studio, then deploy the following projects to ActiveMatrix BPM: Case_model Reconciliation_creators Reconciliations_org Map Users to Roles Using the org browser in openspace map your tibco-admin users to all the positions used in the application: Note in a real system Manager (who does allocation of cases) and TeamA, TeamB, TeamC, TeamD would likely be different users and hence would see different worklists! Create some cases Run the SendReconciliations Business Service to create some sample cases:

3 You can set the number of cases to create, a prefix for the caseid (must be unique) and the delay period default 10 minutes. Check you have some cases waiting You can see processes waiting in process view and cases at state WAITING in case management:

4 Send in trade data You can use the sendtrades Business Service to send some dummy trade data for each case. It will automatically locate cases waiting. Just select how many trades to send per case: Check case status You will now see that the case status is PENDING and that there are workitems to be assigned by a manager for each case:

5 Assign a task Open a task from the worklist and select TeamA and click assign Process a task You will see that the case you selected has changed state to PROCESSING. You will find a new workitem in the worklist for TeamA to check the reconciliation. You can open the task ProcessReconciliation and complete the case by providing a resolution note.

6 Review Case Status You will now see that the case you processed is state RESOLVED You can also find the master_process in process views and review the audit. Compare this to the studio projects to understand how this application works: You can also see the event based audit trail in event views by creating an event view for the master_process instance. Find an activity for your case under the my activity today view, then right click and choose this instance to get the audit trail for this instance. For this kind of dynamic case based application Event views provides a more readable audit than the graphical audit trail of Process Views.
