1 Please walk through each step of this booklet to ensure that all Roberts Technology will work for you. Please call if you need any help. Included in this guide: 1) Creating/Changing your Password 2) Log into thecommons 3) Checking Your Roberts Google 4) Accessing Your Roberts Google Drive 5) Checking your class schedule and final grades in R-Serve 6) Logging into your course pages (also known as CMS or Moodle) 7) Accessing the Library Resources 8) Adding Roberts/NES to a smartphone or tablet Information Technology Services If you need additional support contact the 24/7 helpdesk: Onlinesupport@roberts.edu Main Office Located in Anderson Hall (Building 12) The main entrance is in the Quads court yard Regular Help Desk Hours: Monday - Thursday: 8am - 8:30pm Friday: 8am - 5pm *After hours and on weekends, please call and leave a detailed message. *A technician will return student calls within 1 hour and can assist with basic troubleshooting or make an appointment to assist during regular help desk hours.
2 1. Open your web browser and type in this web address: 2. Click on Student under the Forgot Password/New Account area 4. Fill in the form with the required information. **Note: Your Roberts is: lastname_firstname 5. Click on Next Step >> to continue 6. Enter your New Password and Re-Type it in the second field to confirm ** Be sure to note the password complexity requirements listed at the bottom of the form 7. Click CHANGE PASSWORD **This will set up your password for: RWC Intranet, R-Serve, and CMS/Moodle.
3 1. Open your web browser 2. Type in this web address: 3. Click on Sign in to change your password 4. Sign in with your current Roberts and Password 5. Enter your New Password and Re-Type it in the second field to confirm ** Be sure to note the password complexity requirements listed at the bottom of the form 6. Click CHANGE PASSWORD **This will set up your password for RWC Intranet, R-Serve, and CMS/Moodle.
4 1. Open your web browser: ** Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox are recommended 2. Type in the following address: Type in your Roberts in the Username box: 4. Type in your Password: If you do not have a Roberts/NES password, one can be created by going to: wayne_bruce@roberts.edu 5. Use the links at the top of the page to access your courses and other resources
5 1. Open a Web Browser and Log into thecommons 2. Click on the Icon (top right of the screen) 3. Log in with your Roberts/NES Address and click NEXT Roberts/NES Address: lastname_firstname@roberts.edu Password: If you need to change your password go to: 4. Choose Organizational G Suite Account if you are prompted. Individual Google Account Does not give you access to the full Google Suite. Compose New Google Apps Suite Inbox
6 1. Open a Web Browser and Log into thecommons 2. Click on the Icon (top right of the screen) 3. Log in with your Roberts/NES Address and click NEXT Roberts/NES Address: lastname_firstname@roberts.edu Password: If you need to change your password go to: 4. Choose Organizational G Suite Account if you are prompted. Individual Google Account Does not give you access to the full Google Suite. 5. Click on the Google Apps Button and select Drive from the list of Apps. Feel free to explore the other Google Apps that you have access to through your Roberts Account.
7 1. Open a Web Browser and Log onto thecommons: 2. Click on the COURSES link and select Grades 3. Type in your Username and Password 5. Click on the CLASSES tab 6. Click SCHEDULE 7. Click Student Schedule 8. Click on the Period drop down to change the semester
8 1. Go to thecommpns, and navigate to the Grades option under the Courses link 2. Click Log In 3. Click the GRADES tab 4. Click GRADE REPORT 5. Click a Period (year/semester) to view 6. This view shows the classes taken for that semester along with the grade and points for the class. 7. Total Credits and GPA are shown at the bottom of the report. 8. To print this view: Click Print Report 9. Print preview will open 10. In the printer window, Choose the printer and number of copies 11. Click Print button 12. When you re finished, click Close
9 1. Open your Web Browser and go to thecommons 2. Click Courses link and Select MY COURSES 3. Your course links will appear at the bottom of the page. 4. Click on the course that you would like to access. 5. Enter your username (lastname_firstname) and Password 6. Click the Log in button to view your course materials
10 Start the search by selecting from the Golisano Library Catalog or Electronic Resources. By Selecting Electronic Resources, you will enter into our vast database or Journals, Articles, Books and many other resources. Need Assistance Contact a Library clicking on Ask Us, or Contact at the top right corner of the page.
11 Each type of smart device has a different setup process for your Roberts Google Account. Below is the information you will need to know in order to setup your Roberts Google Account Option 1 Step 1: Download the Gmail App from the App Store (Free) Step 2: Sign in using your Roberts Address and Password Option 2 Step 1: Open your Settings on your device Step 2: Choose to Add a New Account Step 3: Choose Google as the account type Step 4: Enter your Roberts Address and Password
