3 Introduction Evolvi has introduced the capability for travellers to fulfil their tickets via a mobile device. Currently, only IOS and Android platforms are supported. Please be aware that any user wishing to use M- Tickets must download the app onto their device regardless of whether or not they are a registered Evolvi user as the app offers two routes to access the ticket depending on whether an individual has a profile within Evolvi or whether bookings are being made on behalf of an individual who is not themselves a registered user of Evolvi. TMCs will be required to contact Evolvi in order to enable this functionality. Mobile Ticketing is driven by TOCs providing fares which are eligible for Mobile Ticketing, currently this restricted to Advance Fares only. Once these fares have been configured, they will be available via the booking tool. Currently tickets fulfilled by mobile are neither exchangeable nor refundable. Booking Process The booker will go through the booking process as normal, aspects particular to Mobile Ticketing are detailed below. Fares search When a booker (enabled to access Mobile Ticketing) selects a fare it indicates whether Mobile Ticketing is available. See below: Mobile Ticketing is available where a white M on a black background is available. After selecting a Mobile Ticketing fare, the booker will continue with the normal booking process onto the Delivery Method page. 11/03/2016 Evolvi Mobile Ticketing User Guide Page 3 of 11
4 Delivery Methods On reaching the Delivery Method page, the booker will be shown the configured Mobile Ticketing queue this is highlighted below: The setting up of Mobile Ticket queues and fees is done in the same way as for the other delivery methods. On selecting the Delivery Method, the booker will proceed as normal to the Payment page. Payment The Mobile Ticket panel will now be shown when a Mobile Ticketing delivery method has been selected. The address will be where the details of the booking will be sent, see below: If the traveller selected for the booking has an Evolvi profile (a registered traveller), the will be defaulted to their . For non- registered travellers an text box is provided for each traveller, and it is mandatory to provide an address for each traveller. On confirming the booking, details of the Mobile Ticket will be displayed on the confirmation page. 11/03/2016 Evolvi Mobile Ticketing User Guide Page 4 of 11
5 Note: Regardless of who makes the booking, a self-booker or an invoked booker the travellers will get details of their bookings sent to the addresses captured above. Confirmation The confirmation page will now have a Mobile Ticket Details section as shown below: The booker s confirmation will also have details of the mobile ticket, see below: Dear Mr A Tester, The following Mobile order has been confirmed. This ticket is only valid when presented with a valid form of ID issued in the name of the person holding the ticket: Credit or Debit card, National Railcard, Passport or National ID Card or Driving Licence. Please ensure that your phone has sufficient charge or that you have your phone charger with you. You will need to install the Evolvi Mobile app to use your ticket. This is available for download from your mobile's app store search for 'Evolvi Mobile'. Order Ref: Order Date: 14 Mar : Order Item Ref: Each of the travellers will get a tailored confirmation detailing their unique m-codes, see below: Dear Mr A Tester, The following Mobile order has been confirmed. This ticket is only valid when presented with a valid form of ID issued in the name of the person holding the ticket: Credit or Debit card, National Railcard, Passport or National ID Card or Driving Licence. Please ensure that your phone has sufficient charge or that you have your phone charger with you. You will need to install the Evolvi Mobile app to use your ticket. This is available for download from your mobile's app store search for 'Evolvi Mobile'. Order Ref: Order Date: 14 Mar :25 Traveller Name: Mr A Tester If you are a registered user log into the Evolvi Mobile app using your Evolvi login credentials and your travel agent's name ABCTravel. 6 Your m-code: 1D11A4 Your travel agent's name: ABCTravel Mobile Ticketing The traveller can access their ticket on their mobile in two ways, either as a registered or nonregistered user. The user will require access to the internet to log on to the Mobile Ticketing app. The Mobile Ticketing app is available via the Apple App Store and the Android Play Store and can be found by searching for Evolvi, the example below is for the Play Store: Registered User Log On A registered user - a user with a profile in Evolvi and who has been granted access to Mobile Ticketing in their user policy- will be able to log on using their normal Evolvi username and password. The user will log in via the screen below: The TMC is the short name for the Travel Management Company, this is detailed in the traveller confirmation see below: 11/03/2016 Evolvi Mobile Ticketing User Guide Page 6 of 11
7 Traveller Name: Mr A Tester If you are a registered user log into the Evolvi Mobile app using your Evolvi login credentials and your travel agent's name ABCTravel. On successfully logging on the registered traveller will be able to view all of their Kiosk, Standard, TOD as well as Mobile tickets via Expired, Valid and Future tabs. The Expired tab below shows examples of a TOD, Standard and Kiosk ticket. Non-registered User Log On A non-registered user will only be able to access a mobile ticket for which they have an associated m-code. A traveller with dual singles will receive m-codes for each ticket and these would be loaded separately. 8 The M-code and TMC are detailed in the user confirmation see below. The is the address to which the confirmation was sent. Alternatively, you can view your M-Ticket by logging in using: Your m-code: 1D11A4 Your travel agent's name: ABCTravel On successfully logging on, the user will be shown the screen below: After this point the downloading of the tickets to the mobile devices and their activation is the same for both registered and non-registered users. 11/03/2016 Evolvi Mobile Ticketing User Guide Page 8 of 11
9 Downloading Mobile Tickets Once logged on, a user will have to download the mobile ticket on to their mobile device. For security and fraud prevention reasons a mobile ticket can only be downloaded on to a single device. The user will download the ticket from their ticket list, on selecting the ticket, the user will be presented with the following screen: Once a ticket is downloaded, the following message will be displayed if a user attempts to download on to another mobile device. 10 Activating the Mobile Ticket A mobile ticket can only be activated on the day of travel, once it has been downloaded onto the mobile device and must be activated before boarding the train. The loaded ticket will have a link at the top of the screen : >>Activate to use<< On touching the link, a message warning the user that activation is a one-way process will be displayed as shown below: On touching the OK button, the ticket will be activated as shown below - the user will require access to the internet to activate the ticket, at this point it will also be possible to view the barcode which can be scanned at a gate or scanning device: 11/03/2016 Evolvi Mobile Ticketing User Guide Page 10 of 11
11 The coloured banner at the top of the ticket is a dynamic security feature to prevent fraud. The colours change over time, the time moves back and forth along the top of the ticket and the banner pulses.
