1 CSCDomainManager Frequently Asked Questions What are the benefits of migrating to CSCDomainManager? CSCDomainManager SM provides you with the ability to: Manage all your digital assets through one portal, including domains, DNS, SSL, TMCH, and social media handles Review registry requirements within the order process Set up to 20 customized user-defined fields within the portfolio view, such as cost centers, purchase orders, etc. Customize views and reports within your portfolio View and download invoices Order and renew domain names, upload and submit domain-related documents, monitor order statuses, and run reports It also: Ensures registry rules are always up to date through our RulesBase system Validates every order for completeness Gives you visibility into order types, such as domain name back orders Provides improved service level through our global office coverage Allows you to order CSC TrustedSecure digital certificates, and CNAME validation (if using CSC DNS) Gives you access to project teams experienced in managing large clients, who can efficiently support modifications, registrations, and transfers When will my account be migrated to CSCDomainManager? Your domain names will be moved from NetNames NN Platinum Manager to CSCDomainManager SM over a weekend to ensure minimal impact to you. Please refer to the notification you received for the exact dates of migration. Will my domain name contact details change? No. The migration will give you access to enhanced levels of domain management and security services. It will not affect your domain name data at the registry level. The migration will also have no impact on the resolution of your domain names or WHOIS data, and we will work closely with you to ensure it is a seamless transition. Revised: 7/23/2018 1

2 Will there be any impact to services during migration? The migration will be handled by an experienced CSC Project Team that has completed many migrations in the past including CSC s acquisition of ebrandsecure (register.com), NameProtect, and Melbourne IT Digital Brand Services division. You will be unable to place orders through either platform from Thursday afternoon pre-migration weekend through early Monday morning post migration. For urgent orders during the transition, please contact your CSC client service partner (CSP). Routine ordering will resume on the Monday after migration through CSCDomainManager, around 8 a.m. local time, once you receive login credentials. Please refer to your Welcome for exact dates and details. What happens post migration? Domain name management, including renewals, and new domain name registrations, will take place through CSCDomainManager, therefore, within the first week post migration, your renewal contacts will receive a domain renewal report from CSCDomainManager. Once the migration is complete, you will receive: A Welcome with an introduction to CSC A two-factor authentication enrollment from Duo (if you ve signed up for it) New domain portal login details for CSCDomainManager Why should I move? Can I opt out of the move? You cannot opt out. In August 2016, CSC acquired NetNames, and values this opportunity to combine services under the banner of CSC s Digital Brand Services business, reinforcing CSC as the global leader in digital brand management. CSC will decommission NetNames Platinum Manager. CSCDomainManager is the result of years of collaboration between CSC and our corporate clients with heavy investment in its technology to ensure a user-friendly interface, single sign-on, improved workflow, better reporting capabilities, and configurable portfolio management. What will happen with my existing account set up? We will be replicating your NetNames account set up in CSCDomainManager. What will happen with my existing users? Any existing authorized users in NetNames Platinum Manager will be set up as authorized users in CSCDomainManager and can continue to contact their CSC CSP as usual. All authorized users must set up two-factor-authentication before entering the system. You will receive an from no-reply@duosecurity.com to set up two-factor authentication through our 2

3 user authentication partner, Duo. If you do not receive login details within 24 hours of setting up two-factor authentication through Duo, please contact your CSC CSP. Authorized users who do not want to self-serve through CSCDomainManager can continue to contact their CSC CSP without installing two-factor-authentication. What about my brand protection services? Please continue to login to the NetNames Brand Protection portal. For easy invoice remittance, your Brand Protection billing transactions will be raised in CSCDomainManager, but you will continue to make payments to NetNames Ltd. How do you handle domain name renewals? As a corporate provider, CSC understands the importance of ensuring domain names are renewed on time, and sets all domains under management to auto renewal. Each week, CSC s renewal contacts a consolidated Renewal Report indicating accounts with domain names renewing in the next 90 days, inviting you to log in to CSCDomainManager to review. We request that domain lapse requests are provided to us 45 days ahead of the expiration date to allow us to take appropriate action with the registry. Lapse requests submitted to us with fewer than 45 days before the expiration date will have an effect on the following renewal date. Will I receive training? Yes. We will be hosting live webinars to train you in using CSCDomainManager. Four sessions with a unique focus for each will be held the Monday and Tuesday after your account has successfully migrated. You will be provided a link to sign up, and we will send reminder s up until each webinar. Training recordings will be available to those unable to attend our live training. Additional training is available through videos and process documents within CSCDomainManager, accessible at any time. What new invoicing features will I have access to? After migration, you will be able to login to the CSC Invoices and Payments portal and see your future invoices at any time. Through this portal you can: View your open invoices Download a summary invoice or a detailed invoice (Excel format) View your payment history See the details of your dedicated credit representative 3

4 Through your CSC CSP, there are invoicing options to meet your business needs, including: Splitting your portfolio or invoices by user defined field (UDF) Invoice templates that provide summaries, or details Invoice grouping options to invoice by business unit or UDF Secondary bill-to contact option Where will I receive my invoices from? You will continue to receive your invoices from NetNames Ltd (and all related entities) Will there be new remittance details? No, there will be no changes to the bank accounts to which you wire payments Will my invoice frequency change? Former Platinum clients: No, your invoice frequency and invoicing delivery method (postal mail, , or upload) will remain the same. Former NetNames business clients: Yes, you will begin to receive monthly invoices. Your invoice delivery method (postal mail, , or upload) will remain the same. What language will my invoice be in? Your invoice will be in English, with the remittance page in the following languages based on your language preference: Swedish, Danish, English, French, German, Italian, or Spanish Will my pricing be affected? Existing pricing will be honored. Where you have no existing price for the relevant service, CSC base pricing will apply. What are the main invoicing differences? Former Platinum clients: For domain registrations and transfers in, you will be invoiced for the full amount and pay the current and next quarter s management fee. Thereafter, there will only be one management fee line Secure sockets layer (SSL) services and premium names will be invoiced for the full amount NIC fees will not be displayed on your invoices; you will only see the total transaction amount. Former NetNames business clients: You will be invoiced for domain renewals on the expiry date of the domain instead of the date that the domain came into our management. 4

5 Will I need to sign a new CSC contract? No, CSC wholly acquired NetNames Ltd, and therefore assumes all responsibility for existing contracts. What else can you tell me about CSCDomainManager? The CSC Dashboard gives you access to CSCDomainManager. From the CSC Dashboard, users will be able to: Navigate through quick links into CSCDomainManager for specific order types Perform domain availability and WHOIS searches Navigate to a specific domain managed in your portfolio Access training and process documents Renewal reporting: An additional benefit is the regular report you will receive, which allows you to easily view and manage your upcoming renewals. Each week, CSC s your domain renewal contact with a consolidated Renewal Report of the domain names renewing in the next 90 days. Each month, your SSL renewal contact will receive an SSL Renewal Report listing the SSLs expiring in the next 90 days. Twice monthly, your existing TMCH contact will also receive TMCH renewal notices. Security features: Two-factor authentication: An required extra layer of security on CSCDomainManager, known as multi-factor authentication, that requires not only a password and username, but also a unique key that changes every 30 seconds that only the user has in their possession. IP validation: CSC can validate the IP address of anyone attempting to log into CSCDomainManager. If the address is out of range, access will be denied. Federated identity: Federated identity allows you to authorize access to CSCDomainManager by checking your own user trust store, such as Active Directory. This will ensure only valid users according to your systems and policies are permitted entry. MultiLock: This provides an added layer of server-level protection for your domain names and host (name server) records. This service: o Helps protect your domain names against accidental or unauthorized modifications or deletions o Offers additional server-level status options (prohibits deletion, updates, and transfers) that augment your domain s existing controls o Secures the communications chain o Enables end-to-end domain name transaction security at both the organization and vendor level 5

6 o MultiLock is available in over 15 extensions, including:.com,.net,.au,.be,.ca,.cc,.cn,.eu,.fr,.hk,.mx,.nl,.se,.tv, and.uk. Requestor/approver: Allows you to set up a designated approver who will review all requests before submission. Granular user set up: Set up your staff with the permissions they require, including restricting access by business unit or order type. Core account locks: Lock down your key domains with restricted access. Support options: 24/7 support: You will be able to contact a CSC representative at any time for no extra cost. Live chat: A feature available within CSCDomainManager during business hours that allows users to immediately contact a CSC CSP for support. This includes the option for you to share screens with the CSP to better understand your service needs.
