3 1. Gather Medication Whole Pills Hero can store and dispense up to 10 whole, unbroken pills, from Aspirin to Zinc, in each cartridge. Other medications Automatically get notified to take medications that cannot be stored in Hero, such as insulin, eyedrops, or items needing refrigeration. 3 4

6 4. Claim your Hero Create an account Pair your Hero 1 Visit 2 Enter your address and choose a unique Hero Password (eight characters long with both letters and numbers). In the mobile app or on the Hero website, enter the unique four-digit code number displayed on your Hero. 3 Go to your , open the message titled Welcome to Hero, and select Continue Setup. Make sure to verify your schedule! Helpful hints Half pills Hero cannot dispense half pills. Keep these outside of Hero but add them to the Hero app to be reminded to take them. Unscheduled medication For certain pain medications, or pills that are not part of a regular regimen, select that you want to take them As Needed. You can also specify certain days of the week on the Select Days tab. 11 Dispensing Medication When it s time to take a dose, Hero will light up and ring, except for medications stored outside of Hero. For those items, you will receive an app, SMS, or phone call notification. To dispense, make sure the cup is in the tray and press Dispense. Before consuming, check to ensure the dispensed dosage matches the prescribed dosage. If it does not not, check to ensure dosing schedule was input correctly. Unscheduled Doses Have a headache or drop a pill? Dispense an unscheduled dose by pressing any button to access the Hero menu. Then select Dispense and choose your Medication, scrolling to the desired pill, and choosing the quantity.
