3 Denver, Colorado REQUEST FOR INFORMARION BD1604 Title Infor LS9/Role Based Security RFI Date 8/7/13 1. OBJECTIVE/PURPOSE 1.1 The purpose of this Solicitation is to obtain information in order to evaluate Vendors for future solicitations to convert Denver Public School s (DPS) Infor S3 application security from LAUA to LS9/Role-Based. 2. BACKGROUND 2.1 DPS has used Lawson s S3 application for payroll, benefits and employee data for a number of years. The security model used is LAUA. DPS implemented Lawson GHR in December of Prior to the upgrade to S3 V9 and GHR, we put in LS9 role based security for a few people. LS9 was later backed out because it was difficult to administer role based security for some employees and LAUA security for others. DPS implemented the Infor Financial suite on July 1, The Financials go live included implementing LS9 security for Finance department personnel. We still have LAUA security for Payroll, Benefits, and HR, again putting us in the difficult position of administering two types of security. To reduce administrative effort, DPS wishes to convert to LS9 security. 3. SCOPE / VENDOR REQUIREMENTS 3.1 DPS intends to select an Implementer for the Lawson Security (LS9) Migration Project. DPS plans to convert to LS9 Security by July 1, Responders must provide: 1. A sample project schedule showing the implementation timeline to meet the July 1, 2014 date using generic resources. 2. Budgetary pricing information to complete the project by the July 1, 2014 live date using resources of the type used in the project schedule. 3. A list of assumptions inherent in the schedule and typical issues or risks with the schedule. Page 3 of 5

4 Vendor Requirements: Please respond regarding how your firm meets the following requirements: 1. Lawson Certified Integration Partner 2. Public Sector experience, specifically K-12 experience 3. Understanding of the challenges of integrating Lawson Talent Management security with Lawson LS9 security. 4. Please provide two references from previous LS9 security migrations, preferably one from a K-12 implementation. 5. Experience with LS9 conditional logic. 6. Provide LAUA and LS9 Security Auditing/Reporting Software. 7. Vendor Methodology including a. Project Management approach. b. Implementation methodology. c. Testing methodology. d. Knowledge transfer and training to enable clients to maintain LS9 Security. Please factor the following deliverables into your budgetary pricing and sample schedule: 1. Security Migration and Implementation Plan documentation/template(s) 2. Project Implementation Plan 3. Full set of documentation to facilitate knowledge transfer to DPS HRIS personnel including: a. LAUA analysis and assessment. b. Process documentation c. Data conversion plan d. Technical documentation e. Segregation of duty policies including Employee Self-Service roles that resolve segregation of duties issues f. Testing process documentation and Test plan. (HRIS personnel will conduct testing) g. Training material/end user documentation (DPS personnel will conduct training) 4. LAUA review and clean-up 5.
