1 February 12, 2016 To: All Prospective Bidders Re: 3 Legal Notice No. GD Servers & Server Software Following are questions received and RTA s responses: Q1: Were you looking for any Software Assurance with any of the Microsoft Windows or SQL? R1: No Q2: There is a minimum requirement per server or per VM (virtual machine) depending on how the customer is running SQL in their environment. One license covers every 2 cores but the customer must cover a minimum of 4 physical cores or virtual cores per physical processor. This requires quantity 2 of the SQL server Enterprise core (or Standard core) licenses. Technically, the order will go through for quantity 1 but the customer must be licensing for this 4 core minimum in order to be in compliance with Microsoft. R2: Acknowledged. Revised specification follows: Two (2) additional servers are required for SQL Server. These servers are not required to be on the VMware HCL. The minimum requirements per server, are: 2 Intel Xeon E CPUs or better, V3 or higher 64 GB RAM Redundant Power Supplies 12 Gbps Enterprise Class SFF SAS drives suitable for 4 TB storage in RAID 10 6 Gbps Enterprise Class SSDs suitable for 400 GB storage in RAID 1 Greater Dayton Regional Transit Authority 4.
