Windows Live mail is available on Windows System 7 and Windows 10 computers and can be used to receive and send from most providers. You can have it set up to receive from several different providers at the same time. Widows Live Mail is a client based software 1
2 Page 2 of 33 1 Using Microsoft Windows Live Mail This is the start-up for Microsoft Windows Live Mail. WLM is available on Windows System 7 &10 and will receive /send from most providers. It can be up to receive from different providers at the same time. WLM is a client based software Left click on the start button bottom left of screen. Links to software programmes are displayed. If Windows Live Mail is not shown on your list yet. This is probably because you have not used it yet on your computer. In which case left click on at the bottom of the panel you have opened on the left side of the screen. 2

12 Page 12 of Program icons (2) These are functions in the second row at the top left of the screen.. Home Relates to creating new, responding to, activating transmission of s. Folders This label relates to optional commands for creating storage folders. Views This label relates to optional screen appearances. Accounts This label relates to creating an account and details of your internet server connection 12
13 Page 13 of 33 In the bottom left corner of the screen are the following symbols; Mail brings up the page that is used for writing and reading s. Calendar Provides a calendar for recording future diary entries, which will update as the days pass by. Contacts ( addresses). This shows the filing system for recording all the names addresses you wish store. This is an important part of the software and will be dealt with separately later. To return to Mail, Click on Mail 13
14 Page 14 of The Inbox This page shows the inbox. The left hand panel shows the 4 accounts. The inbox of the hotchilli account is highlighted, and the right hand panel lists the received through my hotchilli.net account. 7. 15 Page 15 of 33 Replying to s To reply to this left click on the reply icon. If the had been addressed to more than one person, you can reply to all of them by clicking on reply all. To forward this to another address click on forward. 15
16 Page 16 of Replying to s Left Clicking on the reply icon will display the screen shown below. The address of the recipient is automatically shown. You can add additional recipients if required. Type your reply in the space above(conventional) or below (less conventional) the original . 16

19 Page 19 of 33 Start typing the recipient s address. If their name is contained in your list of contacts, the computer will anticipate the rest of the entry and show several suggestions for you to select, by left clicking on the correct suggestion. 19

Select the photograph from the filing system and double click on the photograph image. That will place the attachment in the as seen in the next page. 20
