2 Introduction of OCIO provides ICT services and solutions to support and enhance learning, teaching, research and administration Responsibilities includes: network & server infrastructure, & telephone services, smartcard & classroom supports, frontline supports, etc

3 HKIEd Network Account Logging into PC in central computer rooms Printing on network printers in computer rooms Using application software on network Accessing network storage e.g. N: drive Accessing MyIEd, elearning & Library catalogue Logging into Hostel or Wi-Fi network

7 Google Account (Cont.) In case Google is not accessible in Mainland China, make VPN (Virtual Private Network) connection before accessing Gmail Alternatively, you may setup Auto forward s in Gmail

8 Office 365 Account Using Internet Address as username to enjoy: 1TB OneDrive Cloud Storage Skype for Business: Instant Messaging tool with video with mobile support; Can search and add fellow students for group chat Student Advantage : FREE download of MS Office 365 ProPlus (up to 5 devices)

9 Change Password Change password every year All passwords will be synced once changed at MyIEd

10 Account Expiry HKIEd Network Account & Office 365 Account: - will be terminated when you cease to be a student of the Institute - backup your own data prior to the termination Google Account: - continue to use after graduation

11 Wi-Fi Network On Campus: *Login with Network Account Username (s ) Outside Campus: *Login with Full Address

13 Printing Service Network printers Learning Commons Print-N-Go stations Learning Commons & Library To save the environment, print only when necessary

16 Student IEdSmart Card All students are issued with a student card, known as Student IEdSmart Card, for purpose of identification and physical access OCIO is responsible for printing of IEdSmart Card If damaged, contact: IT Help Desk If lost, contact: Information Centre of Registry
