3 The Home Page (for all users) This is the Home page and may be used to search for tests that were run in the past, download templates to populate (or provide to clients if you are an administrator), and upload the completed templates to run a test. There are two types of users that access the NDX portal - Administrators and Users. Users can download templates for their employer, populate the data, upload the completed template, and review the results. Administrators can set up employers, create logins for users, run tests, approve results, generate usage reports, and create alerts. Claims NDX v13.02 User Guide 2 Claims-X-Change 2013

5 STEP 1: Download template, fill it up, and upload Click on Download Template to get the Excel template and fill it up. If you have already done so and would like to upload the Excel file and run the test, click on Upload File. Claims NDX v13.02 User Guide 1 Claims-X-Change 2013

6 1.1 Select the file to upload 1. Select the plan to be tested. Your administrator will decide which test(s) should be run. 2. Click on the Add button 3. Select the file to upload from your desktop 4. Click on the Open button Claims NDX v13.02 User Guide 2 Claims-X-Change 2013

8 STEP 2: Start the test Note the Uploaded message. Click on Start Test to submit the file for testing. If you get an error indicating Employer Not Found, the Administrator has not set up the client/employer in the system or the Co-code in the uploaded file does not match the Id for your company. 9 STEP 3: Review and Download the reports Review the test results. Click on Report to download the detailed Excel report. If a test has failed, you will see a link for downloading the Recommendation report. This will contain recommendations to address tests that fail. The Prohibited-Group report will provide a list of Key employees, etc. Claims NDX v13.02 User Guide 5 Claims-X-Change 2013

10 3.1 Search for tests run in the past Specify a Test ID, Company Code, or Test Date and click on the Search button. You may then drill down on the tests to review the results and download the datafile that was uploaded by you or your client. The link to approve tests is only available to the Administrator. 11 Administrator Workflow

12 STEP 1: Adding a New Employer/Client to the system Before loading a dataset for a Client/Employer, the TPASuperAdmin is required to create an Employer record in the system. Type in the Company Code and hit the Enter key on your keyboard to make sure the employer does not already exist. Then click on the Add Employer link. Enter the Company Code (no spaces) and Client Name and click on the Save button. Please leave the System default as is. You are now ready to upload the dataset for the employer and run the test. This step is only required the first time when the employer is not in the system. To use the Top 20% method for determining HCEs and HCPs for Cafeteria and DCAP tests please check the box on the Manage Employers screen. You can uncheck it to use the default method. 13 STEP 2: Adding Users to the System The ROLE determines access to tests and reports. Role TPASuperAdmin TPAAdmin SelfService Employer Access View all tests and reports; create employers and users; approve results Has access to all tests and reports Can run tests and review reports for his/her employer only Can submit tests and review approved reports Please check the checkboxes to determine which tests the user can run. You can edit the details for a user at any time. When a user is created, an is sent to the user with a loginid and password. To update the address for a user, please click on the edit button (next to the trashcan) and add the new address in the "Change " field and Save. The user is then ed the new login and password. 14 STEP 3: Approve Tests Click on the Click here link to review tests for approval Click on the checkboxes to approve tests so that the client can view the test results. Claims NDX v13.02 User Guide 3 Claims-X-Change 2013

15 Generate Activity Reports This link is available on the Admin page. Activity reports are available to the Administrator for billing and reporting purposes. Tests that are successfully run appear on this report. You may pick All Employers or a specific employer; select the start and end date, and then click on the Generate button. 16 Daily to administrators An is sent daily to the administrator. This lists the number of test pending approval. Upon receiving this , the team can click on the link or just login to the NDX portal and view the approvals report from the home page. When the Approval checkbox is checked, the test is approved and the results are available to the user you uploaded the dataset. An is sent to the user as well. 17 Request Help The most common issues that you or your client may face are around bad data and formatting in the Excel upload file. The upload validator will catch most of these issues (dates incorrect, required data missing, etc.) and notify the user to fix the problems and re-upload. In rare cases, the Excel file may be corrupt! The easiest solution when this happens is to download the latest template and copy-paste the data from the corrupt file to a fresh copy of the template and re-upload. We actively monitor our error logs daily and continue to enhance our data validator to provide meaningful feedback to the user when something goes wrong.
