MasterCard SecureCode is a new service providing you with increased security when shopping online using your Post Office Credit Card. MasterCard SecureCode allows you to add a personal security password to your existing Post Office Credit Card which you then use to validate each online transaction. This helps to protect you from unauthorised use when shopping online. How does MasterCard SecureCode work? When you purchase online, MasterCard SecureCode issues a receipt at the end of the checkout process. The receipt includes details of your current purchase, such as site name, purchase amount and date. You sign the receipt using your personal SecureCode password and click 'Submit' to proceed with the purchase. Without your SecureCode password, the purchase cannot take place. How does MasterCard SecureCode protect me? Since your card is protected by your personal SecureCode only you can use your card online. Will I need to apply for a new card to use MasterCard SecureCode?

Your account will be billed on the same date it is billed today. Where can I shop with MasterCard SecureCode? Many online retailers are already part of MasterCard SecureCode, and more online retailers are signing up. What are the system requirements for MasterCard SecureCode? MasterCard SecureCode requires the use of Windows Microsoft Internet Explorer 5.5, 6.0 (including 6.0 on XP SP2), 7.0 and 8.0, Windows Netscape 7.2, Windows AOL 9, Windows Firefox 1.0, 2.0 and 3.0, Opera 9.5 and Macintosh Safari. What happens when my Post Office Credit Card expires? When your card is reissued, the MasterCard SecureCode service is automatically updated with the new card information. You do not need to re-activate in order to continue using the MasterCard SecureCode service. What happens if I cancel my Post Office Credit Card and then get a new one with a different Card Number? You will need to activate the new card for the MasterCard SecureCode service. Activation During Shopping What is 'Activation During Shopping'? What cards can I activate with MasterCard SecureCode? Why do I have to supply personal information during activation? Can I use the same SecureCode for all of my Post Office Credit Cards? What is a Personal Greeting? I activated MasterCard SecureCode. Can I activate it for additional cards? What is the Card Security Code? What do I do if I have problems during the activation process? What is 'Activation During Shopping'? As a Post Office Credit Card customer, we offer you the opportunity to activate MasterCard SecureCode when you shop at participating online retailers. The activation process is simple and quick - all you have to do is enter a few identifying pieces of information, and select the personal SecureCode password you will be using in your future purchases. Please make sure you read and agree to the Terms of Use, as activating the service indicates you have

3 done so. Note that you may not be offered to activate the service online if you had already activated your card to the service in the past. What cards can I activate with MasterCard SecureCode? You can activate your Post Office Credit Card or any additional cardholder. Why do I have to supply personal information during activation? The personal information you are supplying is used as a security measure to make sure you are the real cardholder. The information you supply is verified against the data stored in the Post Office Credit Card database. Can I use the same SecureCode for all of my Post Office Credit Cards? Yes. When you activate your Post Office Credit Card with MasterCard SecureCode you will select a personal SecureCode password. This SecureCode password will be valid for the Post Office Credit Card that you have activated. You must select a SecureCode password between 8-15 characters, which includes at least one number and one letter. You may not use SecureCode passwords that you have used in the past. We recommend that you select a SecureCode password that will be easy for you to remember and difficult for others to guess. What is a Personal Greeting? The Personal Greeting is text that you select during activation. This text should be personal, however not secret. When you pay online, always look for your personal greeting before you enter your SecureCode password to ensure that you're using the authentic MasterCard SecureCode service. Please note - you cannot select a Personal Greeting that will be identical to the SecureCode password. Your SecureCode password must be kept secret, while the Personal Greeting is openly displayed on the receipt. I activated MasterCard SecureCode. Can I activate it for additional cards? Your additional cardholders will be prompted to activate MasterCard SecureCode for their Post Office Credit Card when they shop with participating online retailers. They will follow the same activation process and will then create their own MasterCard SecureCode password. What is the Card Security Code (CVC2)? The Card Security Code (CVC2) is the last three digits that appear on the back of your card, on the signature panel. It is used as an extra security measure to make sure you are in the possession of the card you are activating. What do I do if I have problems during the activation process? You can contact us on our Post Office Credit Card customer service line on We will be happy to assist you with any problems and answer any questions you may have. Shopping with MasterCard SecureCode How do I buy with MasterCard SecureCode? Where can I buy with MasterCard SecureCode? What should I do if I purchase online but the MasterCard SecureCode receipt does not appear?

Second, determine whether the online retailer is a participating MasterCard SecureCode merchant. If the online retailer is participating and you are using the right card, contact their customer service department. Can I purchase at online retailers that do not participate in the MasterCard SecureCode service? Yes. However you will not be able to use MasterCard SecureCode. To complete the purchase at such online retailers, simply follow the regular checkout process. I forgot my SecureCode password. What should I do? If you forgot your SecureCode password, select the Forgot your SecureCode link that appears during the transaction record. Enter the registration information and you will then be able to select a new SecureCode password. I don't see my Personal Greeting on the receipt. What should I do? Always look for your personal greeting before signing the receipt. If your personal greeting does not appear on the receipt, please do not sign it and contact our customer service team.
