1 REMOTE ACCESS TO HUSKY S COMPUTER NETWORKS TWO WAYS TO CONNECT IN EUROPE If you have access to the Internet (via net cable, wireless or phone line, hotel, airport, IPass), you need to change your proxy settings on your laptop when traveling. To do this: open Internet Explorer, go to Tools\Internet Options\Connections\LAN Settings: automatically detect settings should be checked, Use a proxy server should be unchecked, unless in a Husky office. If you are unable to connect, stop the service. To do this, right click the icon and choose Stop VPN, then try using Remote.husky.ca 1

2 Connecting to Husky using Secure Client In the connection window, type in your username, the 4-digit pin number for your RAS card and the 6- digit token code currently displayed on the RAS card, then click on connect. After the connection is established, you will be able to synchronize your Outlook profile and have access to certain network resources. 2

3 CITRIX NFUSE INSTRUCTIONS With access to the Remote Services website, you can check your and access your network drives without physically being at Husky. To access your and network drives remotely, follow these steps 1. Launch your internet browser. 2. Type this address: remote.husky.ca (there is no www in front of this address.) 3. Click on Luxembourg Virtual Desktop (middle of the screen) 4. The following screen will appear: 3

4 You will need your secure ID card for this part. Enter the following information: Username-->your Husky username PASSCODE-->your 4 digit pin number + the number that appears on your secure ID card display. Tip: If there are 2 bars or less on your secure ID card display, wait for the number on the secure ID card display to change. If you don t wait for the numbers to change, you could get an access denied error message and possibly lock out your account. Here s an example of how to enter your PASSCODE: Let s say your 4 digit pin was In the PASSCODE field, you would enter 1234 followed by the number that appears on your RAS card. There are no spaces and no dashes to separate the numbers. Enter the numbers as one whole string. When complete, click the button that says Send. 5a. If you are using the Remote Services site for the first time, you need to install the ICA web client. You will see a message like the one below in the Citrix Nfuse Classic Message Center: 4

5 Click the link that says Click here for the client. When asked to Open or Save to disk, click Open and follow the instructions. Restart your browser and repeat steps 1 to 6 again. Once the ICA web client is installed, you may now login. 5b. If you already have the ICA web client installed, or are a returning user. A screen will appear asking for your: Username-->Your Husky username Password-->Your Husky password 5

6 6. If you authenticate successfully, the following screen will appear. This is where you will see all the applications. (Applications may not be exactly as shown.) Click the icon that says MS Office then Outlook. 7. The Outlook setup wizard will appear. Put a Checkmark in the Microsoft Exchange Server box only. Click Next. 6

7 8. The following screen will appear. Enter the following information: Microsoft Exchange Server--> LUXEXCH4 (all uppercase) Mailbox-->Your Husky username (all lowercase) 9. If entered correctly, the Outlook setup wizard will inform you that you re done with the set up. Click Finish to close the wizard and begin using Outlook. Note: The version of Outlook on Citrix is Outlook 2000 and not XP. Some functions supported by XP may not work in Outlook
