1 Welcome to this staff development training on how to use ēno interactive whiteboards in your classrooms. ēno interactive whiteboards provide cordless interactivity with a computer using the Bluetooth-enabled ēno stylus. At the end of this training, you will know how to: use the stylus and configure the white board for use write and erase notes save your work for later use change the color and size of your pen on the screen use the various erase functions use the various features of the Red Button tool use the onscreen keyboard

2 Getting Started Step 1 - Turn on room projector Step 2 - Login to AEUSER/AEUSER Step 3 - With your stylus, click on the Project Mode icon on the eno board located on the left hand side of the board in the Control Icons Panel Step 4 - Configure the eno board by clicking on all of the targets You will hear a beep when its complete. Tap each target with the stylis as they appear

3 ēno control icons that you tap with the ēno stylus are described below. Toggles between writing and cursor control. Goes to the previous PowerPoint slide or Page Up Goes to the previous PowerPoint slide or Page Down Displays the onscreen keyboard Displays all pen, highlighter, and eraser size and color options. The current pen color The current pen width Sets the pen to a solid line Sets the pen to a dashed line Narrow eraser width using the stylus Large eraser width using the stylus. Clears all the writing. Prints a copy of the whiteboard. Saves a copy of the whiteboard contents as a file in the My Documents folder (or where configured). Toggles projection mode on / off. The first use starts the on-screen alignment (calibration) process

4 Opening a blank window for writing If you prefer to write on a blank window rather than writing over the projected computer desktop, you can display up to four additional blank windows for writing. To display a blank window for writing: 1. Choose the Previous (left) arrow. You can choose Previous up to four times to open up to four blank windows To return to the projected computer desktop, choose the Next (right) arrow until the computer desktop appears. 2

5 Using the on-screen keyboard While using your computer, you can enter text using the computers built-in on-screen keyboard. The on-screen keyboard allows you to enter text into programs such as word processors or web browers with the stylus. 1. Tap the Keyboard control icon from the left control panel to activate the On-Screen-Keyboard. 2. Use the On-Screen-Keyboard to enter a web address into a web browser. 1. Tap the Keyboard control icon from the left control panel to activate the On-Screen-Keyboard. OR 2. Use the On-Screen-Keyboard to enter text into a word processor. 1

7 Writing and erasing with the ēno stylus Writing with the ēno stylus 1. Tap the Pen/Cursor icon to toggle between writing or cursor control Choose a pen color and/or pen width by tapping a control icon Write with the stylus anywhere on the whiteboard.

8 Erasing with the ēno stylus 1. Tap the wide or narrow eraser control icon. 2. Swipe over the items you want to erase. OR To erase everything on the screen tap the Erase All control icon

12 Spotlight and Reveal options The red pen color control icon has three possible functions which you can configure: red pen color for writing spotlight reveal Configuring the red pen color for the spotlight option 1. Select PolyVision Driver from the Show Hidden Icons twirl up menu 2. Choose Configure the Polyvision Driver 3. Select Projector from the Polyvision - General Options dialog window 4. Change Pen Color to Spotlight or Reveal from the Red Button options twirl down menu 5. Click the red close button to go back to using the eno board 6. Click on the red pen color tool to start using the spotlight or reveal function 2 1

14 Spotlighting your work To use the spotlight: 1.Configure the red pen color for the spotlight option. 2. Tap the red control icon. The screen becomes grayed except one circle of light Drag the spotlight around the screen to focus attention on that portion of the screen. 4. To re-shape the spotlight into an ellipse, drag the circle from any of the four cardinal points around the edge of the circle. 5. To enlarge or shrink the circle, drag it from any point around the edge except the four cardinal points. 6. To remove the spotlight: Tap the red control icon again.
