MEDIA AND TECHNOLOGY Content Standard: Students in the Appleton Area School District will select and use media and technology to access, organize, create, and communicate for solving problems and constructing new knowledge, products, and systems. Kindergarten A. Students will use common media and technology and terminology and equipment. Students will be able to demonstrates proper care of books Identifies a book Grade One A. Computers Generically logon and logoff Use the mouse Grade Two A. Log on with generic account, knowledge of some keyboard keys, identify parts of a book, etc. B. Log on to the Internet, locate Favorites and answer questions on a Webquest Grade Three A. Students will use common media and technology and terminology and equipment Log on using generic account Knowledgeable of specific keyboard keys (i.e. alt, ctrl, shift, delete, backspace, num lock, cap lock and enter/return, space bar, home, end, tab) Differentiates between types of media including recorded books, audio cassette and /or CDs Locates and describes parts of a book Awareness of magazines
