4 Preface Preface This preface describes the purpose, audience, organization, and conventions of this guide. The preface covers these topics: Purpose, page 1 Audience, page 1 Conventions, page 2 Purpose The Netgenium ICP0210 Manual provides information about installing and configuring the Netgenium ICP0210-IP intercom panel. Audience The Netgenium ICP0210-IP Manual is written for network administrators and installers responsible for installing and configuring the Netgenium ICP0210-IP. This guide requires knowledge of IP networking technology. 2

6 Overview Chapter 1 Overview The Netgenium ICP0210-IP is a full feature intercom panel that provides voice communication over an IP network. For ease of setup the ICP0210-IP software hosts an embedded web server enabling configuration via a web browser interface. Communicating over the IP network, the panel can register with Cisco s Call Manager IP telephony application using the SCCP call control protocol enabling call requests to be fielded by the IP telephony system. The SIP call control protocol is also supported in peer to peer and registered mode. Where IP telephony is not available the panel can be configured to communicate with the Netgenium CallPoint application. This allows audio communication from the door direct to a pc running CallPoint. 4

7 Overview Powering The Unit The ICP0210-IP can be powered from any class 3 capable 802.3af power source via the LAN interface. Resetting the Unit The ICP0200-IP can be reset by removing power to the unit or pressing the Reset button visible on the front panel or via the software options. Restore Factory Default Configuration ICP0210-IP configuration can be restored to factory defaults by pressing the Default button whilst the panel boots. 5

8 Chapter 2 Configuration This chapter describes how to set up the ICP0210-IP for connectivity to the LAN and in its operational environment. Initial Network Setup Connect the ICP0210-IP to a POE capable network switch or via a mid-span device. To logon for the first time, open a web browser and type the IP address of the panel in the address bar. Each unit is pre-configured with a default IP address of when it leaves the factory. The default username and password are as follows: Username: Password: netgenium netgenium The home page provides basic information on the controller such as software version serial number etc. Navigation around the menu structure is via the tabs shown at the top of the home page. Each tab redirects the browser to the master page for the configuration section selected. In each section a sub menu is accessible via the links on the left of the page. 6

9 To set the units IP address: Navigate to: Setup Configure the options as described below then click the Apply button. General Device Name: The name for the device (usually a description of the location) Network IP Address: Network Mask: Default Gateway: Netgenium Primary PolicyServer: IP address of the device Subnet Mask of the device Default Gateway for the device The IP Address of the primary PolicyServer 7

10 Netgenium Secondary PolicyServer: Registration Mode: Registration Status: The IP Address of the secondary PolicyServer Autonomous or registered with PolicyServer Current registration status 8

11 Time & Date Navigate to: Setup>Time & Date This page enables you to set the system time and date. The options are: Set to Computer Time This option sets the time and date to that of your computer when the Apply button is clicked. Set Manually Enter the time and date in the textboxes provided and click the Apply button. Use NTP With this option enabled the controller will synchronize its time and date with an NTP server every 5 minutes. Enter the IP Address of the NTP server and click the Apply button. If the controller is configured to register with PolicyServer the unit will automatically be synchronised with PolicyServer s date and time. 9

12 Panel Settings Button Navigate to: Panel>Button IPT Directory Number The Directory Number the panel will call when the button is pressed (this option requires the panel to be registered with a PBX) CallPoint List This option the CallPoint client to be downloaded and installed on one or more pc s. When the call button is pressed a call setup request is sent to each client listed in the CallPoint List. 10

13 CallPoint List Each panel is designed to work in tandem with a lock controller protecting a door, gate or barrier. Each call setup request to the client includes details of the lock controller to be opened. The CallPoint client can also provide live video from an Axis or Mobotix camera. Camera Type Select Axis or Mobotix from the drop down list. Camera IP Address Enter the camera IP address Lock IP Address Enter the IP address of the lock to be controlled Lock Password Enter the system password of the lock controller. The default setting is netgenium. Click the UPDATE button. To enter CallPoint Clients into the list enter the IP Address and description of the client and click the ADD NEW button. 11

14 Incoming Call Handling Select how the panel responds to incoming calls. Call Ring Timeout Configure incoming ringtone timeout (on no-answer) The panel can be configured to send up to two pre-configured network events when the call button is pressed and one on call end (see Utilities later in this manual). Send IP Event On Call An IP event (see Utilities> IP Events for setup) can be triggered by call state. Up to two events can be sent on call setup (button press) and one event can be sent on call clear down. Select the required events and click APPLY 12

15 Flex IO Input Navigate to Panel>Flex-IO Input This section describes how to configure the Flex Input feature of the ICP0210-IP. The terminals for this and the clean contacts are located at the rear or the panel on screw terminals. The Aux output, a single Normally Open clean contact is also located on this terminal strip. The Output is normally used to control a lock or external door controller through clean contacts. The Input requires external clean contacts to trigger an RTX or call a DN. You also have the option to trigger up to two IP Events. Flex IP 0V In 13

16 IP Telephony IPT Config Navigate to: IP Telephony>IPT Config The ICP0210-IP can register with a supported IP telephony PBX and become part of the telephone system. When registered with a PBX the panel can be configured with a directory number (DN) and target DN s for the call button can be configured. This allows the PBX to route any call for entry according to its call routing configuration. SIP and Cisco(skinny) protocols are supported. Configuration examples for both options are shown below:- 14

17 Cisco Navigate to: IP Telephony>Cisco The illustration above shows a panel succesfully registered to Call Manager. Enter the IP addresses of the Call Manager subscribers in the textboxes provided and click the APPLY button. If auto registration is enabled on Call Manager, the panel will register as a 7902 handset and will be automatically allocated a DN. If manual configuration of Call Manager is required. Set up a 7902 handset with the MAC address as shown in Device Name (to CCM). Then navigate to IP Telephony>IPT Config and select the Cisco option click APPLY. 15

18 SIP Navigate to: IP Telephony>SIP The illustration above shows a panel succesfully registered a SIP server. Username: Password: Usually the DN assigned to the panel. Must be the same as the password configured on the SIP server SIP Target IP: The IP address of the SIP server. Address/Server Enable SIP Registration Must be enabled unless using peer to peer. Then navigate to IP Telephony>IPT Config and select the SIP option click APPLY. 16

19 Confirming SIP Registration Navigate to Maintenance>Logs The system logs in the illustration above show the correct registration sequence. 17

20 Utilities IP Events Navigate to: Utilities>IP Events The ICP0210 features support for one clean contacts hardware input. This is presented on the back of the panel. Events, transmitted by the panel can be triggered on call button press and call clear down (see Panel>Button) or as a result of the Flex I/O being activated (see Panel>Flex I/O). New Event To setup a new event. 1. Enter the new Event name. 2. Enter the target IP address. 3. Enter the tcp/udp port the event is to use. 4. Click ADD NEW The Event must then be edited and the event text entered. 18

22 DTMF Navigate to: Utilities>DTMF The Aux output, a single Normally Open clean contact is also located on this terminal strip. The Output is normally used to control a lock or external door controller through clean contacts. Aux OP Flex IP 0V In Enter the DTMF sequence required to trigger the Aux OP contacts for 5 secs. Click UPDATE. 20

23 Diagnostics CHAPTER 3 Maintenance & Diagnostics Status Navigate to: Maintenance>Status Shows the current status of the panel. 21

24 Diagnostics Diagnostics Navigate to: Maintenance>Diagnostics Provides diagnostic control of the primary functions of the panel. Logs Navigate to: Maintenance>Logs The panel logs events in a temporary buffer for diagnostic purposes. This buffer is stored in volatile memory and is lost when the unit is powered off. To clear the buffer manually, click the Clear Logs button. 22

25 Diagnostics Default Navigate to: Maintenance>Default Clicking the DEFAULT button will return the panel to factory default settings. Clicking the REBOOT button will reboot the panel. 23

26 Diagnostics Update Firmware Navigate to: Maintenance>Update Firmware The firmware can be updated via a TFTP server. To update the firmware: 1. A TFTP server must be available on the network. 3. The ICP0210 image should be stored in the TFTP root directory. 4. Tick the Enable TFTP Upload check box. 5. Enter the IP address of the TFTP server. 6. Click the Start Upload Process button. The upload process will begin. The current status of the upload process is displayed in the Live Status window. The correct upload Uploading File Writing Main Image Writing Header Rebooting 24
