1 Genera on 4 Display compa bility This is the compa ble equipment approved with the so ware update 19-1 release, and is subject to change with newer so ware updates. To ensure complete and proper compa bility, the most current version of implement control unit so ware, Gen 4 Display so ware, or compa ble farm management informa on so ware (FMIS) should be used. Non-current so ware versions will require an update before support can be provided. Unapproved so ware version configura ons will not be supported. The so ware update 19-1 release is only compa ble with 4600 v2 processors. So ware update 17-2 is the last release that was compa ble with 4600 v1 processors. 4 Equipment compa bility John Deere planters SeedStar 4HP planters are only compa ble with 4600 displays with a version 2 (v2) processor and 4640 s. Displays should be running Gen 4 OS so ware version or newer and the most current version of Tractor Applica ons to be compa ble with SeedStar 4HP planter applica ons. Addi onally, dual-display mode is not available for use with SeedStar 4HP planter applica ons. If mul ple monitors are needed, u lize a Gen 4 Extended Monitor. The SeedStar 2 configura on below is available only on factory-installed model year 2011 and newer planters and may be field-installed on model year 2009 and 2010 planters. Green PM/PA controllers (factory-installed on model year 2009 and 2010 planters) are not supported with a Gen 4 display. For John Deere dealers: the Service ADVISOR tool is needed to update SeedStar 2, SeedStar XP, and SeedStar 3 HP so ware. Documenta on is not supported when using a rate controller to control row clutches on a John Deere planter. 9 To use RDA on a Gen 4 Display with a GS Display connected in the same machine, GS so ware version (SU2014-1) or higher is required (for 4600 Display and 4640 only). GreenStar Rate Controller and GreenStar Rate Controller Dry GreenStar Rate Controller Dry is supported with display so ware update and newer. The 4600 and 4200 Displays and 4640 and 4240 Universal Displays support documenta on and sec on control of up to five GreenStar Rate Controller units. To update the GreenStar Rate Controller and GreenStar Rate Controller Dry, u lize a Gen 4 Display USB port. John Deere dealers can also u lize Service ADVISOR. GDC 2.11A was the last so ware version available through So ware Manager. GDC 2.20A has been available since spring 2015 and contains diagnos c language updates. This so ware can only be obtained through Service ADVISOR. John Deere Rate Controller 2000 The Gen 4 Displays and John Deere Rate Controller 2000 can support documenta on and control up to five opera ons. ISO controllers such as SeedStar on John Deere planters can be used with a John Deere Rate Controller 2000 that is documen ng addi onal opera ons. Addi onally, Gen 4 Displays can document shared sec ons with a John Deere Rate Controller An example of this would be John Deere Rate Controller 2000 used with a Raven Sidekick ICD direct injec on pump. AutoTrac Vision AutoTrac Vision Guidance Camera 19-1 so ware 4.01L is only compa ble with RowGuidance 3 Controller so ware AKK15783F and GreenStar so ware or newer and Genera on so ware or newer. AutoTrac Universal 200, AutoTrac Universal 300, and AutoTrac Controller AutoTrac Universal 200, AutoTrac Universal 300, and AutoTrac Controllers are for use with the 4640 and ISOBUS implements Gen 4 Displays are compa ble with one Agricultural Industry Electronics Founda on (AEF) cer fied ISOBUS implement; AEF-cer fied ISOBUS implements with Task Controller Sec on Control (TC-SC) func onality and AEF cer fica on for TC-SC include sprayers, fer lizer spreaders, planters, seeders, manure applicators, etc. For third-party FMIS compa bility, reference the John Deere Opera ons Center.

10 A so ware update performed by an authorized ISOBUS implement dealer may be required to obtain compa ble so ware. ISOBUS implements must be cer fied through the Agricultural Industry Electronics Founda on (AEF) to be recognized by the Gen 4 display. Gen 4 Displays s ll support older VT versions (example: VT2 and VT3). If an implement is not loading a er upda ng to Gen 4 so ware update (or newer on 4600 v2 processors), it is recommended that the implement manufacturer be contacted to get a so ware version that is either VT3 or VT4. Extended monitor When using an extended monitor with equipment visualized in ISOBUS VT Viewer and applying VT run page modules to two run pages shown at the same me, the extended monitor s VT modules will not update. To mi gate this, only view VT modules on one run page at a me. Implements without controllers Implements without controllers can be documented as a stand-alone opera on or with a rate controller from John Deere. Addi onally, mul ple implements without controllers cannot be documented together. AutoTrac Implement Guidance (passive) AutoTrac Implement Guidance is compa ble with the SeedStar 4HP planters with Easy Fold. The following are required for func onality: Mid model year 2019 planter apps (through StellarSupport ) Mid model year 2019 planter PMC so ware (through SDS and can be pushed using SAR with an MTG) AutoTrac Implement Guidance is compa ble with C850 Tow-Behind Air Carts with so ware update Guidance is compa ble with C850 Air Carts with so ware update AutoTrac Turn Automa on AutoTrac Turn Automa on is available on the 4600 Display and is compa ble with the 4640 installed in 30 Series Tractors and newer. Addi onally, AutoTrac Turn Automa on is compa ble with Easy Fold on SeedStar 4HP planters with 19-1 so ware update and mid model year 2019 planter so ware update.

11 Camera compa bility Voyager cameras are supported on Gen 4 Displays. All other camera types are not supported. Non-John Deere Precision Ag 4600 v2 and the 4640 are compa ble with the following RS-232 configura ons with so ware update 18-2 and newer: GPS receivers with serial port connec on Will not enable AutoTrac guidance func onality Raven RS-232 control units (440, 450, or 660) on tractors configured as implement-based applica ons Gen 4 displays are not compa ble with the DN345 Drawn Dry Spreader at this me. Machine Communica on Radio (MCR) Gen 4 displays are not compa ble with MCR. APEX so ware Gen 4 display work data is not compa ble with and cannot be viewed in APEX so ware. USB files including pre-assigned APEX tasks and itec Pro sequences will not import into Gen 4 displays. NOTE: Gen 4 data is only compa ble with the John Deere Opera ons Center. All Gen 4 ac va ons are machine specific and cannot be transferred to a different machine. If not using WDT, an 8- to 32-GB USB is required to transfer data to and from the Gen 4 Display.
