SECTION 1 INSTALLING ALLTALK ON A WINDOWS COMPUTER (for Version 1.1.1.89 or later) for Versions 1.1.1.88 or earlier, follow the instructions from Page 1.

AllTalk Client installation using the "Wizard" : GO to the LRS website or your Service Providers website to download the

3 SECTION 1 INSTALLING ALLTALK ON A WINDOWS COMPUTER (for Version or later) for Versions or earlier, follow the instructions from Page 1.5 onwards. AllTalk Client installation using the "Wizard" : GO to the LRS website or your Service Providers website to download the latest version of AllTalk. Click on AllTalk Client to begin the Installation Wizard Click "Run" On a standard link the program will download in about 20 seconds INSTALLING ALLTALK CLIENT FOR WINDOWS Page 1.1

4 Click "Run" Click "OK" Click "Unzip" Click "OK" Click "Yes" to start configuration. Enter the username and password for your AllTalk account. INSTALLING ALLTALK CLIENT FOR WINDOWS Page 1.2

7 INSTALLING ALLTALK ON A WINDOWS COMPUTER (for Version or earlier) STEP ONE INSTALLING THE SERVER CERTIFICATE Visit the AllTalk website of your Service Provider (e.g. Note: You may see a certificate warning. If you do, use the following steps to prevent this warning from appearing again. If no warning appears, skip to STEP TWO. 11 STEP TWO DOWNLOADING YOUR KEY AND SOFTWARE Type your "Username" and "Password" (as given to you by your service provider to logon to your AllTalk Account) Click on "EQ2 Key File" INSTALLING ALLTALK CLIENT FOR WINDOWS Page 1.9

12 Click "Save" Save the file in "My Documents" Make sure this file extension stays as ".eqk" This is your "Key File" Press "Save" INSTALLING ALLTALK CLIENT FOR WINDOWS Page 1.10

13 When the Download is complete, click on "Close" Scroll down and Click on "AllTalk Client (Windows)" You may see this Security Warning. If you do, click "Yes" INSTALLING ALLTALK CLIENT FOR WINDOWS Page 1.11

16 STEP THREE CREATING THE ALLTALK PROFILE Type a "Profile Name" which reflects your Provider's Server Name. DO NOT USE SPACES. Click "Install Key" Browse to "My Documents" Double click your Key File which was downloaded in Step Two. INSTALLING ALLTALK CLIENT FOR WINDOWS Page 1.14

17 The Security KEY is now set Now set the Health Message Destination Directory to the location where your Practice software expects to find results. Example: For Medical Director 2 this is something like \\server\mdw2. For Medical Director 3 this is something like \\server\hcnmsgs\in For Genie this is c:\genie\labrslts. Please contact your practice management software support team for the correct path for your package. 18 NOTE: The following step is not required for routine result downloading. The Non-Health Message Destination Directory is an optional directory which directs files not intended for your Practice software to a different location (eg Word documents, Acrobat files etc). See your network/office/practice manager for a suitable location or skip to the next step. Click "OK" to close the AllTalk Profile Editor. STEP FOUR CONNECTING TO YOUR SERVICE PROVIDER On your DeskTop you will see an AllTalk Icon Double Click on the Icon and AllTalk will attempt to connect to your Service Provider. The event log will show successful login (you may even receive messages that were waiting). Installation is complete! INSTALLING ALLTALK CLIENT FOR WINDOWS Page 1.16

19 STEP FIVE AUTOMATING THE DOWNLOADS Note: While this step is not essential, it is STRONGLY RECOMMENDED Click Tools Scheduler. Check that the Box labelled "Enable Scheduler at Startup" is ticked Click "OK" POP UP MESSAGES By default, AllTalk will alert you with a Pop-Up message when results have arrived. If you would like to disable this feature, click on Tools Options 1. Select the dot beside "Don't Display Popup" 2. Click "Apply" 3. Click "OK" INSTALLING ALLTALK CLIENT FOR WINDOWS Page 1.17

20 STEP SIX PUTTING ALLTALK INTO SCHEDULE MODE This is the final step. Click on the large "AllTalk Logo" on the top right of the program window. AllTalk will minimise to the system tool bar at the bottom right of your screen (near the time) INSTALLING ALLTALK CLIENT FOR WINDOWS Page 1.18

25 STEP TWO DOWNLOADING YOUR KEY AND SOFTWARE Back to the Web Page, Downloading your key and Software. Type your username and password as given to you by your service provider to logon to your AllTalk Account. INSTALLING EXTRA ALLTALK PROFILES ON A WINDOWS COMPUTER Page 2.5

28 The AllTalk Profile Editor will start: Click "New" Type a "Profile Name" which reflects your Provider's Server Name (no spaces) Click on "Install Key" Browse to "My Documents" Double click your Key File downloaded in Step 1. Be especially careful that the key you select is the NEW one you just downloaded, not one from a provider you installed earlier. INSTALLING EXTRA ALLTALK PROFILES ON A WINDOWS COMPUTER Page 2.8

29 The Security Key should now be set The providers name will be visible. Next, set the Health Message Destination Directory to the location where your Practice software expects to find results. In most cases, this should be the same as your other profiles. You may configure the directories manually (see "Chapter 1: Installing AllTalk for Windows" for details) Warning For Medical Spectrum/Plexus and MT32 please contact your Practice Software support team for help. To copy the directory settings from one of your other profiles, click "Copy From" Select a profile from the list Note:. If you have more than one profile in this list, you may wish to check the settings for each profile before proceeding. Click "OK" Your folder settings will be copied from the other profile. 31 SECTION 3 INSTALLING ALLTALK JAVA ON MACINTOSH COMPUTERS STEP ONE INSTALLING THE SERVER CERTIFICATE Visit the Alltalk website of your Service Provider eg You may see a Certificate Warning. Follow the steps below to prevent this warning from appearing again, otherwise skip to Step Two (Downloading the Application and Key). If you see a Certificate Warning, click "Continue" In the Top section, click where indicated ("Here") to download the AllTalk Server Certificate. Open your download folder (or desktop wherever the download destination for files is on your computer). INSTALLING ALLTALK JAVA ON MACINTOSH COMPUTERS Page 3.1

32 Rename ServerCert to SerCert.crt Double Click on "ServerCert.crt" The KeyChain access program will start and "Add Certificate" Prompt will appear. Select "X509 Anchors" from the drop down list Click "OK" INSTALLING ALLTALK JAVA ON MACINTOSH COMPUTERS Page 3.2

33 You will be prompted for permission to Add to the Keychain. Enter your User Password (it may be blank) and click "OK" Close KeyChain Access and return to the Web page. STEP TWO DOWNLOADING YOUR KEY & SOFTWARE Enter the "Username" and "Password" issued to you by the Service Provider Click on EQ2 Key File INSTALLING ALLTALK JAVA ON MACINTOSH COMPUTERS Page 3.3

34 Close "Downloads" when complete Scroll down the AllTalk Web Page to "Downloads" In the downloads section Click on Macintosh (OSX 10.3 or Later) Close "Safari" Open your "Downloads" folder (or you may find files on your desktop) INSTALLING ALLTALK JAVA ON MACINTOSH COMPUTERS Page 3.4

35 Double Click on "MacOSX_Installer" Click "RUN" Click "OK" AllTalk will start downloading additional files in background and after a few seconds you will see the "Java Client" appear. [The Java Client will report an Error this is normal] You are now ready to configure your Profile. Click "Profile" INSTALLING ALLTALK JAVA ON MACINTOSH COMPUTERS Page 3.5

Please contact your practice management software support team for the correct path for your package. You may type this in or use the browse button.

You may type this in or use the browse button. Click "Choose" The "Destination Path" will now be set. Click "OK" and the AllTalk Profile Editor will close. Click on "Fetch". You will see a connection the Alltalk Server and an OK message. INSTALLING ALLTALK JAVA ON MACINTOSH COMPUTERS Page 3.7

38 Quit Alltalk. Note: If you have AllTalk Installer on the Desktop or in your "Download" folder,, move it to Trash so that it does not cause confusion in the future. Click "OK" AllTalk will now run automatically periodically without any intervention there is no need to click anything to download results. You can, however, configure a "Desktop Alias" which will enable you to run AllTalk manually. STEP FIVE CONFIGURING A DESKTOP ALIAS TO RUN ALLTALK MANUALLY Finder will open to the AllTalk Folder (EQ2j) Double Click on the "EQ2J.APP.ZIP" icon Select "EQ2j" and make an "Alias" to this application. 39 Drag the Alias to your desktop. Close "Finder" Rename the Alias to "AllTalk" YOUR ALLTALK INSTALLATION IS NOW COMPLETE.! INSTALLING ALLTALK JAVA ON MACINTOSH COMPUTERS Page 3.9

40 SECTION 4 INSTALLING A SECOND ALLTALK PROFILE ON MACINTOSH COMPUTERS STEP ONE INSTALLING THE SERVER CERTIFICATE Visit the Alltalk website of your NEW Service Provider eg You may see a certificate warning. If you do, use the following steps to prevent this warning from appearing again. Otherwise skip to Step Two. If you see a "Certificate Warning" click "Continue" In the top section, click where indicated ("Here") to download the AllTalk Server Certificate Open your "Download" folder (or wherever files download on your computer). Rename ServerCert to ServerCert.crt Double Click on ServerCert.crt INSTALLING EXTRA ALLTALK PROFILES ON MACINTOSH COMPUTERS Page 4.1

43 Close Downloads Quit Safari. STEP THREE UPDATING THE ALLTALK PROFILE Open Finder and go to the Default User Double click on "EQ2j" Note: If you cant find the EQ2j folder, then you cannot use this method to update Alltalk. 44 Double Click on "MacOSX_AddProfile" Note: If MacOSX_AddProfile is not present, double click on "MacOSX_Addprofile.zip" to create it. Click "Run" Click "OK" Enter a name which reflects the Provider's Server, e.g. Symbion (no spaces). Click "OK" INSTALLING EXTRA ALLTALK PROFILES ON MACINTOSH COMPUTERS Page 4.5

45 After a few seconds (on some older computers up to 1 minute) Alltalk will start Alltalk will report an ERROR: this is normal You can now configure the profile Click "Profile" Click "Install Key" Browse to "My Documents" and double click your Key file downloaded in Safari. Be especially careful that the key you select is the NEW one you just downloaded, not one from a provider you installed earlier (hint: check for the latest date) Click "Open" INSTALLING EXTRA ALLTALK PROFILES ON MACINTOSH COMPUTERS Page 4.6

The "Destination Path" will now be set. Click "OK" Click Fetch to confirm that you have a successful logon. Note: if nothing appears to happen for a long time, there may be many files downloading.

Alltalk Java client does not report downloads until it is completely finished downloading, so please be patient. Depending on your download speed, Alltalk will download around 1 file per second. Watch for MacOSX_AddProfile on the Dock. It will indicate it wants to be activated by Jumping. Reactivate the program.

Alltalk will now run in background connecting all the profiles you have configured on this computer.

Because you now have multiple profiles, your Alltalk Desktop version is no longer suitable because it only works with the first (Default)

Alltalk will now run in background connecting all the profiles you have configured on this computer. NOTE: If have the Alltalk Desktop Application, you will need to make more changes. Because you now have multiple profiles, your Alltalk Desktop version is no longer suitable because it only works with the first (Default) profile. It will still work fine for connecting to your first service provider, but not for any subsequent provider. After each download, Quit the Java Client and the next profile will load and run. When you quit the last profile, Alltalk will close. Your update is complete.
