3 I forgot my FormCustomizer User ID and/or password. Your FormCustomizer UserID is typically the valid address you gave when starting your subscription. Your password can be sent to your address by first clicking the Click to retrieve/change your password link from the Log On page, then enter your valid address and click the Send Password button. How do I change my password? Your password can be changed by first clicking the Click to retrieve/change your password link from the Log On page, then enter your valid address and enter your current password, then enter/retype your new password and click the Change button. I get the FormCustomizer v3.0 error page An error occurred when I click Select A Form from the home page. There is an error at the FormCustomizer v3.0 web site. You may wait and retry your request later, or contact AGC California technical support. I don t see all the AGC California original forms listed in the Select A Form list. The Select A Form list displays the forms according to the configured form access for the current user. If your forms list is incorrect, or you wish to gain access to additional forms, contact AGC California technical support. FormCustomizer v3.0 FAQs Page 3

4 When I try to preview a selected form, my browser displays nothing or I get an error. First, make sure that you can view other PDF files on your computer (from outside your Internet web browsing software); if you can t view PDF files outside of your browser there is probably a problem with your Adobe Acrobat/Approval/Reader configuration. If you re only unable to view PDF files from within your browser, there is probably a problem with the Adobe snap-in to your browser. A simple reinstallation of your Adobe Acrobat/Approval/Reader product should solve this My browser still displays nothing, and I ve successfully completed the steps in the previous item above (my other PDF files display without error both inside and outside of my web browsing software). 1. Bypass any popup blocking software you may have installed. Depending on the software, this may be as simple as holding down the Ctrl or Shift key and then clicking the preview or Create Custom Form buttons. 2. 5 I m running Acrobat v6, v7, or v8, will this affect how I use FormCustomizer v3.0? Only when displaying a form from the FormCustomizer v3.0 web site (either in Read Only mode or after completing the form customization process). You may get a new browser window, and the appearance of Acrobat starting, but nothing will be displayed in the new browser window. If you open Acrobat, the form you requested (either in Read Only mode or a form you ve customized) will be present. If you wish to have the form displayed automatically, when requested, the following change will be necessary from within Acrobat: from the Edit menu, select Preferences, select the Internet category, and de-select Display PDF in browser. Once this setting has been changed, any time you request a form you ll be prompted to save the PDF file to your local disk or open the file. If you choose to open the PDF file, it will be displayed in Acrobat. When my customized form is displayed in a new browser window, can I save it anywhere I want? Yes. To save the customized form, click the Saves a copy of the file Adobe toolbar button (with a floppy disk icon). You can save the file to any drive/folder your computer has access to (including network drives/folders), and you can change the file name to anything you want (the default file name given is AGCFCv30DisplayCustomizedForm.pdf ). 6 How do I add to the trusted sites in my web browser software (Internet Explorer)? Adding to the trusted sites in your web browser software will selectively permit full functionality of FormCustomizer v3.0, but leave your existing security settings for all other sites intact. This may be advisable if you re still unable to view or customize selected forms, even after correcting Adobe PDF viewing problems and/or bypassing popup blocking software. 1. From Internet Explorer s Tools menu, select Internet Options. 2. Click the Security tab, select Trusted Sites, and click Sites 3. Enter in the Add this Web site to the zone text box and click Add. 4. De-select the Require server verification checkbox, click OK, click OK, and exit all browser windows. I m running Netscape Navigator as my web browsing software and some of the FormCustomizer v3.0 functions aren t working. 1. From Netscape Navigator s Edit menu, select Preferences 2. From the left hand side of the Preferences dialog box, click the Advanced arrow and select Scripts and Plugins below it. 3. With Scripts and Plugins selected on the left, there should be a Enable JavaScript for panel on the upper right. 4. Select Navigator, click OK, and exit all browser windows.
