Students, Grades, and News Items are NOT exported. To Export a complete Course Click the Course export button. This opens the Course export frame in the bottom half of the screen. Click the Confirm button to continue. When processing is done the Download export here message appears. Click the here link to download the.zip file. A file name of Course_99999 (where is a randomly assigned unique sequence number) is saved on your computer. To Import a complete Course, or selected items You can Import Exported.zip files from another LMS (saved in Blackboard format) or from a previously Exported Course WebStudy.zip file Click the Course import button. 2 This opens the Course Import options frame in the bottom half of the screen. Please read the instructions and notes on this screen. Then if you are importing a file for the first time, Browse or Choose the file to import. When the filename is displayed, click the Import LMS file button. Reminder: the upload may take as long as 15 minutes during which time the screen will remain unchanged. Please do NOT click the Import button again. Click the icon for a category to open the items in that category. Click the checkbox icon for a particular type (Materials in the example above) to select ALL items of that type. You can De-select any category within the type, that you do not want to import by clicking a checked checkbox to un-check it. (The test category is de-selected in the example above). The Source course category name is shown in the middle column, and to the right of that there is a box where you can specify the New category name you want the items imported into, in the Target course. The program assumes that you want the same name for the category in the Target course, so the New category is preloaded with the same name as the Source course category, and it is shown with a selected radio button. To give a category a different name in the Target course, type the new name in the New category entry box. Click the checkbox to the left of Timeline to select all Timeline sessions from the Source Course. Click the expand/collapse icon to show the list of sessions, where you can de-select any sessions you do not want to import. How To Use WebStudy Course Export/Import Page 3 of 5

Click the for a particular Exam to import that exam into the Target Course. When a particular Exam is selected, you have the option for the Exam (or selected questions within the exam) to be added to the Target course as a New test or have it Added to an existing exam in the Target course. Click the icon to for a particular exam to display all Questions in that Exam. When an exam is selected, all questions within that exam are selected. You can De-select any question within the exam, that you do not want to import by clicking the checked checkbox for that question to un-check it. When all your selections and any changes to New Category names are complete, click the Submit button to Import your selections from the Source Course to the Target course(s). You will see a complete message when the import is done: How To Use WebStudy Course Export/Import Page 4 of 5
