1 How To Use WebStudy Mail Hover your mouse over the Mail option on the Shared Tools Toolbar, then click on the appropriate option on the line below (Incoming, Archived, Sent, Drafts, Trash, or Compose). Incoming You will see a count of any new incoming s in the Events Summary pane. Click the link, or hover your mouse over Mail on the Shared Tools toolbar, and click Incoming to access them. You can Read or Preview each . To Read and Reply to an , click on the Subject. This opens the mail, automatically marks it Read and moves it to the Archive folder. Once you have created a Reply and Submitted it, the will move to the Sent folder. To Preview the mail without having it marked Read or being moved to Archive, click the preview mail icon (screen tip for this icon is shown above). If there is an Attachment with this , you will see the paper clip icon to the left of the Date/Time. From this display you can also Select one or several by clicking the checkbox associated with each , or you can select all by clicking the checkbox at top right of the header bar. Then you can use the Mark Selected options to mark all selected s as Read or Unread. How To Use WebStudy Mail Page 1 of 8

3 Step 3: Reply. Type your Reply in the space above the ORIGINAL MESSAGE. You can insert another copy of the Original Message in your Reply area by clicking the INSERT ORIGINAL MESSAGE button. If you wish to Attach a file or files to this reply, click the ATTACHMENTS button to browse for and attach the file(s). The Save this message as a draft: option allows you to choose from No, send immediately (the default), or Yes, access it via the Drafts folder later. If saved to the Drafts folder, it can be sent from there later. Click the Submit button to Send (or Save) your Reply. 4 Archived All Read s will remain in the Archived folder until Moved to another folder or the Trash Can, or Marked as Unread, in which case they will automatically return to the Inbox. To Move an Archived to another folder, Select the by clicking the checkbox to the right of the Subject. Then click the Move to button for a drop-down list of all existing folders and click on the name of the folder to move to. Click on - Trash can - in the drop-down Move to list to move the to the Trash folder. If the folder does not yet exist, you can create one by typing a Name for the folder and clicking the Create button. Once created it will appear in the drop-down list under the Move to button. To Mark an as Unread and move it to the Inbox, click the checkbox to select the then select Unread from the Mark selected drop-down list. You can use the Search box and Search button to enter a single keyword to search for. Or, click on the Advanced filter link to open the boxes shown above to search by From, Subject, Date (from - to) and/or Course code. Click on the red X to the left of the link to Cancel the Search. Click on the link again to close the Advanced filter option boxes. The Page options appear in the upper right of the screen. The first icon is to move to the first in the list. The second icon moves back one at a time. The #/# (#) indicates which this is out of how many s are in the Archived folder. The next icon is to move forward one at a time, and the last icon is to move to the last in this list. 7 Compose Step 1: Select a Recipient (or Recipients). There is a tab for each type of Recipient Instructors, Students, BCC Recipient(s), and Teams. Note: This step is very Important because if no Recipient is selected, the Mail will go directly to the Drafts Folder. Click on the appropriate tab, and click on the name of a person to send the to, or click the checkbox for that person to select them as a Recipient. Repeat this procedure for all Recipients.
