1 HAVER ANALYTICS What is Haver Analytics? Haver Analytics is a database which compiles both current and historical time series data for the purpose of research and macro strategy planning. Data is displayed in the form of line charts across certain parameters, which can both be customized by the user. There is a large range of information available, including but not limited to demographic, financial, manufacturing, and employment data. Basic Functions General Functions Graph Functions Math Functions Graph Display Settings Year Info Save General Functions Default View: This button gives the option to revert to default view Classic View: Changes display to classic view, which is typically full-screen Folders: Opens folders. Here you will have the option to save data in folders To do so, first have the data open on the screen. Then, you must create a new folder in order to save data by right clicking and selecting New Folder from the dropdown. Then, make sure the New Folder is selected, then click Folders and select Add Folder Item Rename your Data accordingly and select the Green + Sign, and your data will be saved into the folder

2 Excel Mode: This function provides a variety of options to export data into Microsoft Excel Reset Settings: This will undo any of the applied Graph Functions, Math Functions, and graph display settings Graph Functions Recession Shading: Shades the graph show recessions within the displayed time range Zoom: Zooms in or out of the graph based on user input in terms of # of Years to display Exchange Multiple Variables: When you have two or more variables, you can use this to adjust the order you wish them to appear on the graph Add Variables: Once you select this, the following bar will appear on the top right: You can manipulate the variables with a number of transformation options on the leftmost of this bar. Remove Variable: Removes variable applied from above function Add a Constant Variable: Option to add a constant variable by inputting a numeric value Math Functions Functions: Gives options of basic functions, ie. Level, Diff Annual Rate, Diff Period, etc. Advanced Functions: Opens an advanced menu to manipulate factors such as number of quarters, % Change, Index, etc. Seasonal Adjustment Function: Toggles function to adjust for seasonal performance Toggle Nesting of Functions: Nests functions such that they combine into a single function Undo Last Function: Undoes the most recently applied function Graph Display Settings The following buttons are self-explanatory, as it changes the display to a different format of graph. Log Scale: Changes format to log scale Bar Graph: Changes format to bar graph Stack Bar Graph: Changes format to stacked bar graph Area Graph: Changes format to area graph Cycle Graph: Changes format to cycle graph

3 Year Info Move Back/Forwards in Year: Select the back arrow to shift graph back a year, and select the forwards arrow to shift graph forwards a year Series Info: Displays the underlying series of the entire graph Save Save Graph in Folder: Quick-save data into a folder Navigation Home: Takes you back to the Main Menu Back: Go back one screen Forward: Go forward one screen History: View history of selections Bookmark: Bookmark page navigated to. Note that this does not bookmark the graph, only the page display Search: Search through database based on Keywords and/or Geography

The following will appear on the Bottom-Left upon clicking the application, click cpub- Dlxvg3 rdp to initiate server connection 4. The RemoteApp window will pop up, click Connect

8 5. Wait to connect 6. If these pop up, click Yes and Ok to the next two Security Alerts 7. Haver will open to the main page
