Compatible with ResponseCard RF, XR and NXT, ResponseCard AnyWhere does not require a projector, computer or software. Programming the RF Channel on ResponseCard AnyWhere Before polling the audience, verify the Radio Frequency (RF) channel to which ResponseCard AnyWhere is programmed. RF ResponseCards must be programmed to the same channel as ResponseCard AnyWhere. NOTE If another ResponseCard AnyWhere, or other Turning Technologies receivers, are being used within a 200 foot radius, be sure the devices are set to different RF channels to avoid interference. 2 Press the down arrow until Change Channel is highlighted.

2 ResponseCard AnyWhere 2 4 Use the up and down arrows to change the channel. 5 Press Menu/OK. Programming the RF Channel on the NXT ResponseCards Before polling the audience, verify the Radio Frequency (RF) channel to which the NXT ResponseCards are programmed. ResponseCard AnyWhere must be programmed to the same channel as the NXT ResponseCards. 1 Press the Channel button. 2 Enter the channel number. 3 Press the center button. Programming the RF Channel on the XR ResponseCards Before polling the audience, verify the Radio Frequency (RF) channel to which the XR ResponseCards are programmed. ResponseCard AnyWhere must be programmed to the same channel as the XR ResponseCards. 1 Press Menu. 2 Press the down arrow until Change Channel is highlighted. 3 Press Enter. 4 Enter the channel number and press Enter. Programming the RF Channel on the RF ResponseCards Before polling the audience, verify the Radio Frequency (RF) channel to which the RF ResponseCards are programmed. ResponseCard AnyWhere must be programmed to the same channel as the RF ResponseCards. 1 Press the CH button (older ResponseCards have a GO button). 2 Enter the two-digit channel number. 3 Press the CH button. A green flash indicates a successful channel change. Setup Menu Changing the Polling Time By default, polling remains open for 60 seconds. The polling time can be adjusted to 15, 30, 90, 120 or 240 seconds. 4 Highlight Polling Time and press Menu/OK.

3 ResponseCard AnyWhere 3 5 Use the up and down arrows to highlight the desired time. 6 Press Menu/OK to accept the new time. Turning the Countdown On or Off 4 Highlight Countdown On/Off and press Menu/OK. 5 Use the up and down arrows to highlight On or Off. On: Countdown seconds are visible while polling is open. Off: Countdown seconds are visible when the timer reaches 20 remaining seconds. 6 Press Menu/OK to accept the new countdown setting. Specifying the Sort Mode Votes or responses can be sorted two different ways. 4 Highlight Sort Mode and press Menu/OK. The following screen appears: Choosing A thru J sorts the votes in order of the options. (Ex. A, B, C, D, etc.) Choosing Vote Count sorts the votes from most to least popular. (Ex. If option A receives 1 vote, option B receives 30 votes, option C receives 120 votes and option D receives 9 votes, option C will be displayed first followed by B, D, A. 5 Use the up and down arrows to highlight A thru J or Vote Count. 6 Press Menu/OK to accept the sort mode. Turning Sessions On or Off Sessions are turned on by default. Until a new session is started, all questions are stored under Session 1.

4 ResponseCard AnyWhere 4 4 Highlight Sessions On/Off and press Menu/OK. On: Until a new session is started, all questions are stored under Session 1. Off: All questions are stored under one sequential session. 5 Use the up and down arrows to highlight On or Off. 6 Press Menu/OK. Adjusting the Display Contrast The display contrast can be adjusted. 4 Highlight Contrast and press Menu/OK. 5 Use the up and right arrows to darken the display or the down and left arrows to lighten the display. 6 Press Menu/OK to accept the new display contrast setting. Verifying the Firmware Version The firmware on the ResponseCard AnyWhere can be updated via the Hardware Updater (available for download from 4 Highlight Version and press Menu/OK. The version number is displayed. Verifying the Unit ID The Unit ID is also located on the back of the device below the barcode. 4 Highlight Unit ID and press Menu/OK. The Unit ID is displayed. Returning to the Main Menu Users can easily return to the Main Menu from the Setup Menu.

5 ResponseCard AnyWhere 5 1 From the Setup Menu, use the down arrow to highlight Main Menu. 2 Press Menu/OK to return to the Main Menu. Using ResponseCard AnyWhere Polling the Audience Polling can begin after both ResponseCard AnyWhere and ResponseCards are programmed to the same channel. 2 Highlight Start Polling and press Menu/OK. The following screen appears: Question denotes the question number.session denotes the session number.votes denotes the number of responses to the current question. NOTE The default response time is 60 seconds. To adjust the response time, press the up or down arrows during polling. Pressing the up arrow three or more times will create a user controlled open poll where it can only be ended by pressing Menu/OK. 3 After time expires, the results will automatically display: 4 Press the down arrow to view the results for options E-H. Press the down arrow again to view the results for options I-J. Avg denotes the Mean of the responses collected.tot denotes the total number of responses collected. 5 Repeat steps 1-3 to poll another question. Viewing All Question Results After the polling time expires, the results automatically display for each question. To return to the results at a later time, follow the steps below. 2 Press the down arrow until View Results is highlighted.

6 ResponseCard AnyWhere 6 The results of the last question polled are displayed. 4 Use the up and down arrows to scroll through answer choices. 5 Use the left and right arrows to scroll through questions. 6 Press Menu/OK to return to the main menu. Starting a New Session A session is a group of polled questions. Session data can be downloaded and edited using ResponseCard AnyWhere Desktop (available for download from Once the sessions are downloaded to ResponseCard AnyWhere Desktop, question titles, answer options and correct or incorrect point values can be associated to the question data. All questions are stored under Session 1 until a new session is started. 2 Press the down arrow until New Session is highlighted. 4 Press the up arrow to start a new session. ResponseCard AnyWhere automatically numbers sessions. Up to 10 sessions may be stored at a time. Deleting Response Data ResponseCard AnyWhere stores up to 5000 votes or responses to 100 polling questions. Once ResponseCard AnyWhere reaches its capacity, it will need cleared to allow for new polls. Poll results from the last question polled may be deleted or all stored results may be removed from ResponseCard AnyWhere. It is recommended to download all session results to ResponseCard AnyWhere Desktop prior to deleting any data from the handheld receiver. 2 Press the down arrow until Delete Questions is highlighted. Press the up arrow to delete the last question polled or the down arrow to delete all stored question results. 4 Press the up arrow to receive confirmation.
