14 Varying degrees of interoperability exist today New technology in SDR is enabling a more flexible architecture to satisfy changing and unexpected requirements Standardization is key to success Software defined radio systems are not inherently affordable Larger selection of products by instilling standards in software and hardware development SDR alone is not the answer, but rather the communities push for an open standardized architecture
