1 Subject: ADDENDUM III Date: March 8, 2013 As per section of the above listed project the following questions and responses are to be listed in the Supplier Response to the RFP under Tab 8: Will HISD accept a 23.6 viewable monitor for the 24 monitor portion of this bid? Must be as similar to RFP specifications for product comparison. What type of inputs/connections does HISD requiring for their 24 monitor needs? Please list primary and secondary requirements. DVI D; VGA Will HISD accept a wide format 24 display for this opportunity? Yes To confirm warranty requirements at HISD per this bid. HISD wants a 3 yr warranty included with the product price, but add accidental insurance to the original 3 year warranty, plus an additional year (4 years) with accidental insurance? Please confirm the total number of years of warranty that you would like. Pricing tables provide totals for: device; device & 3 year warranty; & device with 4 year warranty. Will HISD accept a desktop display with height adjustable stand? Yes The 24 monitor bid stated minimum 24 flat panel LCD monitor(1280x1024). Will HISD allow a respondent to offer to options, one that is 23.6 and a lower cost option and then a larger display that meets the requirements of the RFP. Must be as similar to RFP specifications for product comparison. With regards to the laptop offering, will HISD accept products that use a micro USB to VGA dongle solution? Yes With regards to the laptop offering, is wired Ethernet required on each device? If so, will HISD accept a USB to Ethernet or other dongle solution? Yes Does the student laptop require a docking connector? Will the students be using this with a docking solution? Will HISD accept a USB Port Replicator/Docking station? Yes Please provide more detail about External battery support. Is this a mandatory requirement? Minimum of 8 10 hours of battery life. Is pointing stick a requirement or will other solutions be considered? Other solutions will be considered. Will HISD accept a 128GB SSD in place of a 180GB SSD? Must be as similar to RFP specifications for product comparison. For the student pad will HISD consider a 11.6 device or is the size stated the maximum? Yes There is not an operating system noted in the RFP for the student pad, please advise the operating HISD prefers for this device. The RFP talks about images, etc. which leads us to believe it is windows, please confirm. Open to all options for OS for student pads. The operating systems for each device is listed as Microsoft Windows 8 Pro. Does HISD have a VLA agreement with Microsoft and accept a Windows 7 offer which will reduce the overall price of the offer? No Page 1 of 6

Must be as similar to RFP specifications for product comparison Software Page 26 Software & Antivirus: Will other platform/operating system specific versions of Microsoft Office, Trend Antivirus, and Absolute Computrace, be considered? Yes Would HISD be open to a 3 year lease option on tablets? No Would HISD like to see a fair market value or dollar purchase option? Capital lease vs. operating lease or both. HISD would prefer to make a decision based on the value, terms and conditions of each offer. Is it the district's intent and desire that Apple respond to this RFP for what appears to be Windows OS systems, or does the district intend to continue to purchase through the Texas DIR contract? Yes Is this procurement related to the 1:1 project that was announced earlier this month? It has components for 1:1 and continued district purchases. The RFP only lists Windows as an acceptable Operating System for the laptops and desktops. Will the District issue an amendment to the RFP stating that a Mac OS is an acceptable solution?
