1 Set Up YouTube Account Because Google owns YouTube, you have a YouTube account already! But you will need to set up a channel for your portfolio videos. Go to YouTube Click Sign In Use your Google credentials Click the arrows next to your e mail/username Click My Channel

2 You will set up your usernamee and channel. Use only letters and numbers for the Username. This screen allows you to decide what will be added to your channel. Uncheck things you do not want, and click All Done You will now see this screen (and more below)

3 To change your settings, click the blue, underlined words in each area. Plug camera in to USB port while on Click Setup_FlipShare. For Flip Cam users Click Yes to allow the program to make changes to your computer

4 Click I agree to the license agreement. Software will install If you have video on the camera, it will appear in the FlipShare camera library. Locate video you want to share

5 Click on the video and click save to computer this will help speed up the upload to YouTube or Google Docs. (***You can upload video directly from your camera if you want***) You have the option to delete the video from the camera after you save it to the computer. Choose an option, and click Yes.

6 Your video will be placed in the folder stated in the previous dialog (in this case, October Click the video you want to upload, and click the online icon.

7 Click the YouTube button, and click next. Fill in your usernamee and password, and then click Login.

8 Wait for upload. Go to YouTube. Click Sign In. Upload Directly from YouTube Click Upload Click Upload Video Locate video

9 Click video and then click open Wait for upload/processing

10 Change Privacy to Unlisted, click Save Changes and copy URL if you need.. The difference between Unlisted d and Private Videos Unlisted: /support/youtube/bin/answer.py?answer= Private: /support/youtube/bin/answer.py?answer= You will have better results if you make the video unlisted. Your video will not be searchable, but if someone posts the URL to your video anywhere, anyone with the URL can view it. If the video is private, you can share it with a number of people (25 or 50??), but the people you share the video with will have to log in to YouTube first in order to view it. Go to YouTube. Click Sign In.

11 Click My Videos and Playlists. Check the box next to the video you want to make unlisted. Click actions and select Unlisted. Click edit info to name video and get URL.

12 Type a name and click save changes. Scroll down to get URL for Google Sites. Log in to your eportfolioo (Google Sites). Locate the page you want to put the video on.

13 Click edit Click Insert>Video> YouTube Paste the URL, and click save

14 Click Save Google Docs Option If you have a video ready to upload, you can place it in Google Docs, just like a word document or PDF. After that, you can put the video in your Portfolio, but you have to share the video in Google Docs as well as sharing the eportfolio with your supervisor and others. It seems that the Google Docs option is more secure, because you have to give permission for otherss to see your video rather than having a blind URL to it. Locate your video Log in to Google Docs

15 Click Upload Click files

16 Locate your video (I show the default path for flipshare videos) Click the video and click open Click Start upload

17 Wait for upload Click Share Type in the e mail address of the person you want to have access to your video, then click Done Alternately, put a check next to the video and follow this path

18 Log in to your e Portfolio Locate the page you want to put your video in Click the edit icon Click Insert > Video > Google Docs Video

19 Click the video you want to place in your portfolio, and click Select Click Save Click Save on your page
