3 INTRODUCTION Using this extension you can show best selling products for your online store. Our extension is easy to setup and give many options for settings from admin. You can show best selling products into home page center, left column or right column within few minutes. You can show/hide price, add to cart button, add to wish list, ratings from admin. You can set number of products per row from admin. You can also set best selling products from particular time period in days. For ex. 7, 10, 30, 60 days etc. EXTENSION FEATURES 1. You can change heading. 2. You can set display number of best seller products in main block. 3. You can set display number of best seller products per row. 4. Supported all types of products. 5. Thumbnail width & Thumbnail height is configurable via Configuration. 6. Set days from current date for display best seller products. 7. Show/hide the products Price, Reviews and Ratings, Add to cart, Add to Wishlist, Add to Compare, Out of Stock Products. 8. Supported multi store website. 9. Select custom bestseller products and chose bestseller products type and sort order. 10. Display bestseller products by different order status. 11. Display Bestseller using widget. 12. Supported Magento version 1.4.x-1.9.x. Note: Before installing the extension, please: 1. Disable Compilation by going to Backend -> System -> Tool -> Compilation 2. If your website is live, please backup your store database. 3

4 CONFIGURATION SETTINGS Step-1 Go to admin System Configuration MAGEBEES Best Seller Products. OR Go to admin MageBees Best Seller Products Manage Settings. Step-2 Click on General Tab. You will get Following Screen. 4

5 Enabled: You can able to enable or disable this module from choosing Yes/No. Heading: You can set your title for Bestseller Products. Best Seller Products: You can choose products types like auto, manually selected or both. Sort Order: You can set sort order if selected both best seller products that display which first or randomly. Display Bundle and Configurable Products: You can choose option for bundle and configurable product whether you want to display child, parent or both products if best seller products Auto or Both type selected. Number of Items in Main Block: For set number of best selling products display in the block (If Need to display all the Products then remain blank). Number of Items per row in Main Block: For set number of best selling products per row. Note : In responsive theme by default 3 items display Thumbnail Width: Set thumbnail width in pixels. Thumbnail Height: Set thumbnail height in pixels. Time Period: Set days from current date for display best seller products. Ex: If I set 5 in the time period then it will display best selling products which will be sold in the last five days. Show Products Price: On choosing yes product price display on best selling products. Show Reviews Ratings: On choosing yes reviews & ratings display on best selling products. Add to Cart: On choosing yes Add to Cart button display on best selling products. Add to Wishlist: On choosing yes Add to Wishlist link display on best selling products. Add to Compare: On choosing yes Add to compare link display on best selling products. Display out of stock items: On choosing yes Out of Stock products display on best selling products. Order Status: Display order status wise bestseller products if best seller products Auto or Both type selected. 5

6 LAYOUT SETTINGS Step-1 Go to admin System Configuration MAGEBEES Best Seller Products. OR Go to admin MageBees Best Seller Products Manage Settings. Step-2 Click on Default Package Code Tab. You will get Following Screen. XML Code: Suppose you want to use XML Tag auto generated code of best seller products copy XML Tag and put it in your Theme XML layout Files [app/design/frontend/<your package>/<your theme>/layout/]. For example we are putting XML Tag Block code in cms.xml file, so open your theme cms.xml file and put following code under content area. 6

7 Template Tag: If you want to display bestseller products in any CMS page. Go to admin CMS Pages and open Content tab put highlighted code in editor. Call via Frontend Template File: If you want to display bestseller products in your template file [.phtml] you need to just paste this at any part of your template files. For example we put Template file code in our theme 2columns-right.phtml file. 7

8 MANAGE BESTSELLER PRODUCTS Auto : Display best selling products automatically based on configuration. Note: Make sure you selected Auto or Both option from Bestseller Products in configuration. Manually : Step-1 Go to admin MageBees Bestseller Products Manage Products Manually. You will get the following screen. Step-2 Click on button. You will get following screen. 8

9 Step-3 Choose products from here and click on or button for save data. Note: Make sure you selected manually or both option from Bestseller Products in configuration. 9

10 CREATE BESTSELLER PRODUCTS WIDGET Go to admin CMS Widgets. You will get the following screen. Select MageBees:Bestseller Products Widget from Type and your Design package theme. Fill all required fields and select layout for display on specific page. Note: If you select Left Column or Right Column in Block Reference than only product name and image will be display and page widget options cannot be apply. 10

11 From Widget Options choose options for which contents you want to display. You can also add widget from editor using Insert Widget. 11

14 FAQ Q-1: I have installed bestseller extension. But when I click on bestseller tab in the config page will get a 404. :(. Solution: After install Bestseller Product Extension. Please Logout from admin account and Re-login and Refresh Cache. Q-2: I have installed bestseller extension on magento 1.9 (rwd package) but ratings not display on front-end. Solution: Step-1 Please open below file. <SITE ROOT>/skin/frontend/rwd/default/css/madisonisland.css. Step-2 Please find below code..cms-index-index.products-grid.ratings,.cms-index-index.products-grid.actions,.cms-index-noroute.products-grid.ratings,.cms-index-noroute.products-grid.actions { } display: none; Step-3 Please replace the find code..cms-index-index.products-grid.ratings,.cms-index-index.products-grid.actions,.cms-index-noroute.products-grid.ratings,.cms-index-noroute.products-grid.actions { display:; } After replace Code then you will get below screen. 14

15 Now check Bestseller extension on front-end. Q-3: I applied the 6788 patch on my magento setup, a bestseller block doesn t show up on home page or any cms page. Solution: Go to admin -> System -> Permissions -> Block Click on Add New Block and fill details as follow: Now bestseller block has permission to display. 15
