ITUNES Music, video, photos, Apps, etc. between your computer and device (ipad). Changes you make on one device are copied to the other when you SYNC. You can also use itunes to copy a file to ipad for use with an App, or to copy a document you ve created on ipad to your computer (Use Dropbox). ICLOUD Photos, apps, contacts, calendars, and more, and wirelessly pushes them to your devices. When something changes on one of your devices, your other devices are automatically updated. You can use icloud or itunes, or both, depending on your needs. For example, you can use Photo Stream to automatically push photos you take on ipad to your other devices, and use itunes to sync photo albums from your computer to ipad.

Backed-up information includes purchased: Apps Music TV shows Books Photos and Videos in the Camera Roll Device settings (for example, Phone Favorites, Wallpaper, and Mail, Contacts, Calendar accounts); app data; Home screen and app organization; Messages (imessage, SMS, and MMS), ringtones, and more. Media files synced from your computer aren t backed up, but can be restored by syncing with itunes.
