For descriptions of the different applications within the MyEricsson portal, please review the specific user manuals or use the Help function within the particular application. The user manuals are available under Contact & Help in the MyEricsson portal. 1 System Requirements A few basic requirements are needed to make the MyEricsson portal function optimally. Under the heading Portal Information in the Contact & Help section of the Tab Menu you will find System Requirements where help regarding settings are detailed. Some of these tips are presented below. 1.1 Software Requirements MyEricsson supports a number of different browsers. However, if you use older or newly released browsers or versions it may cause unexpected behavior. MyEricsson supports and continually tests the following browsers: Internet Explorer 11 Mozilla Firefox 27 or higher Chrome 30 or higher To enhance both security and your experience of MyEricsson, please update your browser according to the above specifications. Also make sure that your browser has the plug-ins necessary to view or download PDF and Microsoft Office files. Since MyEricsson is simply the gateway to tools made available for the extranet the software requirements may differ between your portal and a given application. If problems occur, please check with the requirements stated for the individual tool Ericsson AB 2015 Public Page 4

5 1.2 Adjust Settings If your company is using a proxy server to connect to the Internet, please make an adjustment in your browser (Internet Explorer 9 shown below). The Portal Manager is on hand to handle any day-to-day issues such as requests to add users. Both roles are important to keep up an active portal profile. Both the owner and the manager have an administrator role. Extra administrators can be added to help with the management of the portal. An administrator s main responsibility is to manage the users and content on the portal. What to consider when setting up a new portal: Think through what type of content is appropriate for your end users. What kind of tools would be of interest to them? What type of information will allow you to showcase Ericsson products and services in the best way? Custom news an active portal owner makes all the difference, and MyEricsson offers a whole range of different channels to present information to customers and partners Populate the portal with services of different kinds, such as training or support, to offer additional value to their connection to your portal Ericsson AB 2015 Public Page 9

15 6.9 Log Out To ensure the privacy of your account, be sure to always log out after a completed session. Log Out is located under My Settings in the Tab Menu. 7 Administration If you have been granted administrative access, a new tab named Administration will appear in the portal Tab Menu. Depending on your access, this tab will be populated with all the administrative features related to your portal and role. Managing content through this tab affects all end users of the portal. Wording in MyEricsson will help you remember at what level you are changing content by always using Manage for personal views and Edit for changes that affect all portal users. 7.1 User Administration User Management - SIGNUM The new Ericsson identity model that will encompass all external workforces is managed by the isignum application. To comply with the new identity management, the MyEricsson e- business portal has introduced a new user management page, called Maintaining Profiles. As migration of portals will take place from the old to the new identity model, the old Maintaining Users will continually be removed and replaced with Maintaining Profiles. Typically, the Key Account Manager (KAM) for a specific customer will be creating new SIGNUMs. The online SIGNUM tool will be used to give customers Ericsson specific log-in details. Since the MyEricsson e-business portal is a free service provided by Ericsson to create added value for their customers, it is also possible to connect the new SIGNUM details directly to a portal via the same tool. The portal option will be present if the KAM has the proper access for managing a portal. If the KAM is responsible for more than one extranet portal, s/he will have to specify which portal a particular user will have access to. If the KAM does not have any administrative ties to the e-business portal, then the user will be created without a portal profile. Portal administrators may then add the user from inside the portal instead. A SIGNUM ID is valid for one year. All responsible persons will recertify SIGNUMs if the user is indeed still using the account, while inactive ones will be deleted. This will ensure a more streamlined life cycle management of users Ericsson AB 2015 Public Page 15

16 Users, who have not confirmed their SIGNUM within one month s time, will automatically be erased from both the SIGNUM database and MyEricsson. Useful Links: 1. If you do not have access to isignum find the requestor application (isignum_requestor) using IDM 2. If you have isignum access but do not know how to operate the tool, please review the isignum EriCOLL site For more information on external SIGNUMs, please contact isignum Support Maintaining Users The Administrators of each portal are responsible for adding users, editing user information, and also removing users that should not have access to the portal any longer. Portals that have not yet been migrated to the new identity model of external SIGNUMs will continue to use Maintaining Users to manage users. You can easily reach this functionality by clicking Maintaining Profiles under the User Administration heading in the Administration tab of the menu. 19 7.1.4 Maintaining Roles Each portal is assigned a number of roles. These specify which parts of the portal are open to that particular group of users. To assign new or edit roles, select the Administration tab in the Tab Menu and click Maintaining Roles under the User Administration heading Default Tools Portlet As administrator for a portal, you may want to ensure that the tools portlet of all users is populated with the appropriate applications right from the start. This is made possible by the checkbox option of Automatically Star Marked under Maintaining Roles. This option is available for all tools that have been activated for your particular portal. By selecting Automatically Star Marked, that tool will appear star marked by default in the tools portlet. This is a way to make sure that a tool is immediately available even for new users who have not yet familiarized themselves with how to add favorites to their tools portlet. This does not only apply to new users, as this feature can also be used to highlight additions of new tools for experienced users by making it automatically star marked. You have a couple of options regarding who will get the tool automatically. In the example below, ERITEL has been marked for automatic starring but has not been activated for all portal users. GOLS, on the other hand, is marked for both. This means that all users in the portal will automatically see GOLS in their tools portlet. In order for users to see ERITEL, their access needs to be given to them individually via Maintaining Users. Once you have granted a user access via their profile under Maintaining Users, only then will ERITEL automatically appear in that user s tools portlet. This distinction is present to offer more versatility in user management. ERITEL [Telcel] GOLS If a user later chooses to change the star marking by using Manage My Tools, their selection overrides the default set-up. 7.2 Reports Account Reports In the Administration tab you will find Account Reports under the Reports heading. This is one way of acquiring statistical summaries of particular accounts. Reports available include All Ericsson AB 2015 Public Page 19
