3 1. INTRODUCTION As the most popular social network in the world, Facebook has such a huge user base that almost all of your customers now use Facebook. Thus, if their Facebook accounts can be connected with your mobile shopping app, they will easily login and buy more than expected. Facebook Connect plug-in will help you integrate your shopping app with Facebook by enabling your customers to create new accounts or login with their Facebook account, like and share your products right on their Facebook wall or with their friends via your mobile shopping app. With Facebook Connect, your mobile shopping will become more than a shopping channel, but also a customer engagement tool to keep them stay longer on your app and enjoy shopping experience there. 4 2. HOW TO INSTALL AND CONFIGURE: a. Create Facebook App: Please follow the guide in Facebook App Register guide in Facebook Connect site: b. Install: 1. After purchasing plug-in, you will be directed to App management page. Go to Install Connector tab; download Instant Contact connector, which is a zip file. 2. It is required to enable cache in the administration panel of your site. Go to System/Cache Management. Choose all caches and take action Enable then submit. 3. Use FTP client (such as Filezilla, WinSCP, cuteftp) to upload or copy all folders in the zip package to your Magento site root folder. This will not overwrite any existing files, just add new files to the folder structure. 4. After uploading is done, log in to your Magento administration panel to refresh cache. Go to System/Cache Management. Select all caches and take action Refresh then submit. 5. Navigate to System/Configuration; if you can see the extension tab, it is installed properly. 6. Now if you get Access denied error when clicking on the extension tab, you need to log out admin panel and log in again. 7. Come back to SimiCart website and login to your account. 2. Click onto App Management. On App Information tab, you can see a field called Facebook App Id. Enter the Facebook App ID that you created here. 3. Navigate to Build App tab, select Facebook connect to build app with and press Build App button to re-build the app. 4. Then you can test Facebook Connect feature right away. 5 3. HOW TO USE FACEBOOK CONNECT After Facebook Connect is integrated with your shopping app, Customers will enjoy the following features: a. Create new account in your shopping app with Facebook: Facebook Connect will enable new comers to create a new accounts in your mobile shopping apps faster with their existing Facebook account. They should follow these steps: - Open your mobile shopping app. - Tap Sign In - In the sign screen, they should tap on Login with Facebook. o If they have logged in to their Facebook account on Facebook App or on Facebook mobile site, a new account will be created instantly for them in Magento backend with the it gets from Facebook. o If they haven t logged in to their Facebook account, they will have to enter the and password to login to Facebook first. Then a new account will be created instantly for them in Magento backend with the it gets from Facebook. After that, an will be sent to this to inform the password for their account on your mobile app and Magento website. - Customers can use these and password to log in to both mobile app and your website next time. 6 b. Login to their account in your app with Facebook When customers open your shopping app, they can login to their account instantly with Facebook by doing as follow: - Open the app and tap on Sign in and customers will see this screen. Facebook Connect Plug-in v1.0 6

7 - Tap on Login with Facebook o If they have already logged into the Facebook Account, they will be automatically and instantly log into your mobile shopping app. o If they haven t logged into their Facebook accounts, they will be redirected to the screen below: Here they will have to enter their and password which are connected with their account in your Magento web store and shopping app. c. Like products with Facebook: Your customers can show their interests in a particular product now with Facebook Like button. More importantly, they don t need an account or login to existing account on mobile shopping app to like the product. They only need to: - View the detail page of this product o If customers haven t like the products yet, they will see the Like button right below the product image Facebook Connect Plug-in v1.0 7

9 Tab on OK button to like this. If they want to unlike, they just need to tab on Unlike button. Afterthat, on their walls, there will be a post showing up that they have liked the product from your store and the link to product page on your web store. d. Comment with Facebook Facebook Connect also allows customers to comments with their Facebook account and view other comments on Facebook about the product. To comment with Facebook account, customers need to: - Tap on Comment button : - Then their mobile screen will show up: Facebook Connect Plug-in v1.0 9

10 - They need to tap on Login to Facebook to post a comment. - They have to enter and password to login. - After that, the mobile screen will change to: Facebook Connect Plug-in v1.0 10

11 - To post a comment, they need to tap on Write a comment box there, they can type on that box and tap on Comment button to post it. - Facebook Connect also enables them to select to post on Facebook or not by checking the Also post on Facebook box After that, this comment will be posted automatically on customers wall. - Besides, customers can like and reply on other comment by tapping on + button Facebook Connect Plug-in v1.0 11
