This may take a while depending on the size of the project. Progress bar should appear at the bottom. You may ABORT at any time to stop the download. Once a project is downloaded to the ipad, you will not need to download it again. 10

17 HOME SCREEN SYNCING: Uploads all data and photographs inputted into the app by the surveyor to the main server. Uploading time will vary depending on the amount of data added and can be aborted at anytime. If aborted, no data will be uploaded or SAVED. Syncing will also download data to the app that was; 1) Uploaded by another surveyor after they sync. 2) Added / changed at the Client Administrator level. THE SYNC BUTTON WILL APPEAR RED WHEN THERE IS AN UPDATE AVAILABLE. BEST PRACTICE: Use only one surveyor per LOCATION or AREA. Sync at the end of each work session (i.e.; lunch, end of day) and NOT after each SPACE. 17

21 HOME SCREEN TOOLBOX: Shows all the tools required to complete a survey. Tape Measure Minimum 25 feet. Digital Level Minimum 2 feet long with feet to bridge rocks etc. Should have percentage (%) slope readings. Door Pressure Gauge Capable of reading up to 15 pounds minimum at maximum 1 pound increments. Also, capable of taking push AND pull pressures. 21
22 HOME SCREEN BAR SYMBOL: Tap on the symbol to open window to return Home or Log-Out of the app. Home returns to the LOCATION screen. Profile and Settings are held for FUTURE use. THIS CAN BE USED ANYWHERE WITHIN THE APP. 22

26 AREA SCREEN AREAS: List of all the AREAS for the LOCATION as ordered and named by the Client Administrator. Scroll with finger if there are more AREAS than what appear on the screen. Percentage (%) reflects the amount of SPACES surveyed 100% within the AREA. Compliance HELP Check symbol means 100% of the AREA has been surveyed. The AREAS appear in order of their alphabetic identification but can be surveyed in any order. 26

34 SPACE SCREEN FILTER ROOM TYPES: Allows you to filter spaces based on the type assigned by the Client Administrator. Tap on the down arrow and select space type from the pull down screen. Only space types that are included in the area will appear. Only one space type can be selected at a time. Tap on X to right of filter name to remove the filter. 34

39 ELEMENT SCREEN Lobby / Waiting ELEMENTS: List of all the ELEMENTS for the SPACE as included and ordered by the Client Administrator. Scroll with finger if there are more ELEMENTS than what appear on the screen. While the ELEMENTS can be surveyed in any order, it is highly recommended to survey in the order that appears on the screen. When an ELEMENT is complete, the next ELEMENT in the order will automatically begin after tapping NEXT. The current ELEMENT being surveyed will appear in a gray box. 39
40 ELEMENT SCREEN Lobby / Waiting ELEMENTS: Incomplete ELEMENTS have a gray dot to the left. After 100% of the questions in an ELEMENT are answered, the dot will turn maroon. If there are no deficiencies in an ELEMENT, a Compliance HELP Check symbol will appear to the left. If there are deficiencies in an ELEMENT, a CAUTION symbol will appear to the left. 40

Select LIBRAY if you want to add a photo from the ipad s photo cache. Select the photo and tap NEXT. Select CAMERA if you want take a new photo. 43

Link the photo to the entire SPACE (default) or a specific ELEMENT via the pull down menu. c. 54 Completing a Survey How to Answer the Questions, Select Remediation s, and get HELP
55 QUESTION TYPES / ANSWERS: All questions require an answer selection, measurement / quantity input, photo taken / added, or information input prior to moving onto the next question. NEXT will appear when the last question for an ELEMENT has been answered. DONE will appear when the last question for the last ELEMENT in a SPACE has been answered. Tap on NEXT / END to automatically move to the next ELEMENT / SPACE. 55
56 QUESTION TYPES / ANSWERS: MULTIPLE CHOICE TYPE Requires selection of an answer by picking the box to left of answer. Different types include: a. Requires only one answer b. Requires specific # of answers c. Allows unlimited # of answers d. Requires selecting an image (tap image to enlarge and X to exit) e. Requires a measurement to select a range provided Read ALL answers before selecting. Questions with multiple answers require selecting SAVE after all answers are selected. 56
57 QUESTION TYPES / ANSWERS: QUANTITY / MEASUREMENT TYPE Requires a numeric answer by picking in box. Keyboard will automatically appear (tap DONE to enter information DO NOT USE KEYBOARD SYMBOL). Different types include: a. Requires a quantity (input field is blank) b. Requires a measurement (input field has a unit of measurement) Most measurement type questions have HELP SCREENS that provide additional information on how / what to measure. See HELP SCREEN slides below. 57
58 QUESTION TYPES / ANSWERS: PHOTO TYPE Requires a photo to be added by picking on camera symbol. Select LIBRARY if you want to add a photo from the ipad photo cache. Select the photo and tap on NEXT. Select CAMERA if you want take a new photo. After the photo is selected or taken, you will have option to add a comment (tap on keyboard symbol to end comment). Tap on ADD PHOTO at bottom. The photo will appear below the question. 58
59 QUESTION TYPES / ANSWERS: INFORMATIONAL TYPE Requires a written response by taping in the box. Keyboard will automatically appear (tap on keyboard symbol to end comment). These questions cannot be left blank. BEST PRACTICE: Develop project wide consistencies in language and how the information is represented across similar questions. 59
60 QUESTION TYPES / ANSWERS: UNIQUE TYPES STOP and similar multiple choice type questions require acknowledging you understand what is required in order to proceed with the survey of the ELEMENT / SPACE by selecting OK. The app will not track that any tasks, if required, are completed. NOTE: This may result is some spaces not being 100% complete. TERMINAL questions will automatically end an ELEMENT without checking all characteristics due to a significant deficiency found that will require full replacement / rework anyway. 60
61 QUESTION TYPES / ANSWERS: EDITING Multiple Choice, Quantity / Measurement, and Informational Types - Tap the pencil symbol to left of answer to Edit / Change answer. Photo Types Tap the pencil symbol below the photo to Edit / Add / Remove a comment. Tap on the photo to view a larger version. Tap on the X to left of photo to replace with a new photo. NOTE: This cannot be undone. Unless the photo being removed was added from the ipad s cache, IT WILL BE LOST. 61
62 QUESTION TYPES / ANSWERS: **CAUTION** Questions are pyramidal. Selected answers dictate subsequent questions. If an answer is deleted or changed anywhere in the pyramid, the subsequent questions will be removed up to the point where the changed answer veers from the original path of questioning. Original answers are not deleted. The are retained in the background. However, new answers are required to complete the ELEMENT. Only the answers in the final pyramid will be included in the reports. 62
63 QUESTION TYPES / ANSWERS: COMPLIANT / DEFICIENT If an answer is ADA compliant, a Compliance HELP Check symbol will appear to right of question. If an answer is not ADA compliant, it is Deficient. A caution symbol will appear to right of question and Remediation Options will appear below the answer. See REMEDIATION slide for additional information. 63
64 QUESTION TYPES / ANSWERS: COMPLIANT / DEFICIENT Some questions are required to prequalify subsequent questions that will be verified for ADA compliance. If a question is not being verified for ADA compliance, no symbols will appear to right of question. 64
65 REMEDIATIONS: If an answer is not in full compliance with ADA Standards, it is Deficient. A caution symbol will appear to right of question and Remediation Options will appear below the answer. Currently, the Remediation Options just reference ADA Standard section and, typically, only one option is available. Tap the box to left of remediation. If more than one option is available, select the best option for your situation. Tap on the pencil symbol to right of remediation to pick a different option. 65

NOTE: Cost Reports are not functional at this time. The report will be downloaded as an Excel file that can be saved to your computer. Create a PDF of the entire report.
