1 Accessing Proquote Web Proquote Web can be accessed through the Proquote website (www.proquote.com).

3 1 Accessing Proquote Web Proquote Web can be accessed through the Proquote website ( On the Proquote Homepage you will see the screen below where you can enter your login details: Enter your Proquote Web user name and password and select the Login option. 2 Proquote Web Homepage After logging into the service you will be directed to the Proquote Web Homepage. 2.1 Homepage Contents The Homepage Standard contains five windows including: Market trend of the FTSE Indices Intraday Chart of FTSE 100 FTSE 100 Winners FTSE 100 Losers RNS News By clicking on the Homepage Standard button it will always return you to the Homepage. The browsing menu placed on the left hand side of the Homepage will allow you to browse the contents on your profile (see section) Proquote Commercial in Confidence Page 3 of 17

3 List Menu The list menu on the left hand side of the homepage allows you to access lists for the exchanges permitted on your Proquote Web account.

From here you can select an instrument type, then region/exchange and then the list you require. Once the list has been located press open and this will provide you with the data requested. 3.

4 3 List Menu The list menu on the left hand side of the homepage allows you to access lists for the exchanges permitted on your Proquote Web account. If you are a UK user the first tab will be London and will list the London markets shown as shown below. From here you can select an instrument type, then region/exchange and then the list you require. Once the list has been located press open and this will provide you with the data requested. 3.1 Stocks The stocks home screen provides you with a quick and easy way of viewing how the constituents on an index are performing. It will default to the FTSE 100 as shown below. You can also change the constituents that are being displayed by selecting the drop down as per the above. 7 3.1.3 Charts The charting within Proquote Web is fully customisable and provides access to a wide range of time periods and intervals. The volume tab will allow you to display volume figures on the chart. It is also possible to print out the charts by going to the print ( Title The Title page will allow you to view an Intraday, Week, Month and Year chart. ) button. 3.1.3.2 Extensive The Extensive feature allows you to view different time frames, and chart types as well as inserting Studies.

If you wish to change the style of a chart you can select the Chart Type drop down menu ( ). Studies for the charting in Proquote Web are available from the Study drop down menu ( ).

The Interval and time period drop down menu ( ) will allow you to set the time period of the chart. If you wish to change the style of a chart you can select the Chart Type drop down menu ( ). Studies for the charting in Proquote Web are available from the Study drop down menu ( ). To change the interval period of the study select the modify study button ( )to the right of the menu. Indicators can also be inserted by using the Indicator drop down menu ( ). By scrolling along the chart it is possible to view the values of the date selected, for your chosen studies. 3.1.3.3 Documental The Documental feature allows you to view Corporate Actions and Regulatory News flags on a chart.

As per the Extensive section, it is possible to change the time frame of the chart by using the interval drop down and selecting Go. Scrolling along the chart and clicking on the flag will display the Corporate Action type of the Regulatory news headline Morningstar The Morningstar profiles allow you to view details such as accounts, forecasts, directors, share dealing and major forecasts. 6 News News in Proquote Web is provided by a variety of sources and the news window can be customised to show only specific source news. 3.1.6.1 Time Period By inserting a date range or using the calendar button ( ) it is possible to apply a time period on the news you are viewing.

10 3.1.5 Corporate Actions The Corporate Actions option from the Stock menu will bring up the Proquote Corporate Actions page. This allows you to view historical corporate actions for your chosen stock; you can filter the search by corporate action and date News News in Proquote Web is provided by a variety of sources and the news window can be customised to show only specific source news Time Period By inserting a date range or using the calendar button ( ) it is possible to apply a time period on the news you are viewing. Selecting Go will apply the filter Title This option is a free text field and allows you to search through headlines for specific words or phrases News Sources The bar below allows you to select which sources the news window draws its news from The News Story Window When opening a news story from the news window you will be presented with a window as per below. Each market sub menu includes a home page where it is possible to access the Winners and Losers as well as charting for a particular market.

11 3.2 International Markets The list of international markets available on Proquote Web is illustrated below. The markets available are subject to the markets you are entitled for. The stocks section will allow you to access the equities listed on the selected market. Selecting the equity will give you access to historical price information as well as charting. Each category will give you access to the window below, which provides a table of the current trading prices of the key currencies.

12 3.3 Rates-Forex The Rates-Forex menu allows you to access the major forex spots. It is also possible to access the forward, Libor and Euribor rates through the Rates-Forex menu. It is possible to change the currencies displayed by using the below search dropdown menu and select Go. 3.4 Commodities The Commodities menu allows you to access Spot Precious Metals as well as other commodities such as Oil. 13 4 Proquote Web Toolbar The Toolbar will allow you to search for specific criteria, create a Portfolio and a Watchlist. 4.1 Search The search engine allows you to search on a variety of different elements. The magnifying glass ( ) permits searching via Description, ISIN or Symbol. By typing in a keyword you will be able to select and display a Stock Detail page for the chosen instrument Advanced This gives you the option to search on Name, Market, Instrument Type, ISIN and Symbol Search This allows you to search under Best Match, which searches for stocks matching the information entered in the search bar. You can search via ISIN or Symbol using the ISIN box Stocks This allows you to search by instrument type for example, Stocks or Bonds London This allows you to refine your search by the market of the instrument you are trying to locate Stock Type You can break down the search into certain types of instruments using this option. 4.2 Portfolio Portfolio allows you to monitor and track the performance of your investments. When opened you will need to create a new Portfolio by going to the New Portfolio tab.

Select New Portfolio and you will be taken to the below screen, which will allow you to name your portfolio and enter an amount of initial cash available This will then display in the Portfolio List as below. To add an instrument to the Portfolio, you should locate the stock from the search engine and select the ( ) icon which will allow you to add the stock into the portfolio. The Virtual Buy/Sell screen will allow you to enter in the transaction details. By clicking on the actual name of the Portfolio you will be presented with three sections; Composition, Movements and Charts. Proquote Commercial in Confidence Page 14 of 17

on the security and the ( ) button removes the security from the Portfolio. 4.2.

15 4.2.1 Composition The Composition section will display a summary of the Portfolio and current performance. The ( ) button will allow you to make a further purchase on the security, the ( ) button allows you to make a partial or a total sell on the security and the ( ) button removes the security from the Portfolio Movements This section will display all of the history performed on the portfolio Charts This section gives a breakdown of the Portfolio in a Pie Chart. Once you have located the stock select the ( ) icon which will allow you to add the stock into a watchlist or portfolio.

16 4.3 Watchlist The watchlist option allows you to create your own customer lists, with stocks you are monitoring. When you select this option you will be presented with a blank list as per the below: By selecting New you can name your Watchlist as below. You can add stocks in a watchlist from the search engine. Once you have located the stock select the ( ) icon which will allow you to add the stock into a watchlist or portfolio. It is possible to specify which watchlist or portfolio to add the instrument to. The instrument will then be inserted into your watchlist. To remove an instrument from the watchlist select the ( ) button to remove. 4.4 Exit In order to shut down Proquote Web you need to select Logout from the Proquote Web Toolbar.
