1 First Year Housing Preference online form for Welcome page is displayed. Begin the process by clicking Continue to Next Step (found at the bottom). Please note the links on the left for more information about our residence halls and rates. On the left is a link to this document to help guide you through the preference document.

2 Building Preferences page is displayed. You are required to select three buildings or you will not be able to advance. Also note at the bottom of the page is the opportunity to request a single room. Single rooms are assigned based on housing deposit date and may not be in your first choice building. A single room preference overrides building choice. Update building and room preference and Continue to Next Step.

3 Meal Plan Selection page is displayed. Select the required meal plan for all first year students by selecting the radio button and Continue to Next Step.

4 Living Learning Communities and Special Interest Areas Preference page is displayed. Use the scroll bar on the right to display locations and select preference. You are not required to select anything on this page, but may opt into a Living Learning Community (LLC) OR a special interest area, not both. Living learning community preferences should answer the questions at the bottom of the page before clicking continue (shown on the next page of this document). LLCs assign students to a linked course with people who also live in their community. Please give them a good consideration as you will then be preassigned to this course before Orientation & Registration. Click Continue to Next Step (found at the bottom of the page).

5 Living Learning Communities and Special Interest Areas Preferences page continued. Click Continue to Next Step (found at the bottom of the page).

6 Medical/Disability Housing Accommodations Request page is displayed. We ask any students who may need any type of housing accommodation for medical, mental health, or disability needs to request an accommodation on this page. Documentation from a third party is required to have a medical/disability accommodation and will be requested when completing this request. Even if you choose not to take the accommodation at a later date it is important to indicate it now. You will then complete the form to indicate the exact request on the last step of the preference form. Requesting an accommodation on this page is the only way we can assist you to get the housing needed for your accommodations. Select and Continue to Next Step.

7 Roommate Matching Questions page is displayed. Please note that if you have a specific roommate request, you will receive information on how to request an exact roommate in May. Exact roommate requests cannot be guaranteed for a variety of factors, but Residence Life works to accommodate as many specific requests as possible. Answer questions on this page and Continue to Next Step.

8 Optional Roommate Preferences page is displayed. If you are interested in living with an international student, please indicate it on this page. Select preference and click Submit Housing Preferences to save and finish the process. Note each time you access the online preference form and make changes you must go to the end of the process and click Submit Housing Preferences to save and submit changes.

9 Final Step for Medical/Disability Accommodations link is displayed after you submit housing preferences. The link to complete the exact need is the button in the right column that says Medical/Disability Accommodation Request Form. Description on how to complete the form is on the next page. Be sure to read this page and follow instructions before you close the browser window and exit.

10 OPTIONAL Form: The Medical/Disability Accommodation Request form is displayed (after you clicked the link). This form allows you to specify your exact request for accommodations. It then triggers the Disability Resources Office to your St. Thomas account the documents required to finalize your request. Complete the form only if you have a request for an accommodation and click Submit Accommodation Request.
