How do I apply for housing? Navigate to http://www.mills.

2 How do I apply for housing? Navigate to and follow the Housing Application link that will appear in the first week of April.

3 From the Living at Mills page you will be sent to the Mills Portal page. Please sign in using your Mills username and password.

4 After you have logged into your Portal look for the Housing Application in the Featured Services section. Select it.

5 You are now in the StarRez Housing Portal. Select the Application link (indicated below by a red arrow).

6 Please make sure you read each section thoroughly. Select Academic Year application in the Term Selector then Save & Continue.

14 This is your opportunity to list all your special needs. They will be stored in your StarRez records and can be modified anytime.

17 Please chose a recognizable user name as this will be what is sent out to your potential roommates. It is recommended that you write a good description of yourself and what you are looking for in a roommate.

18 All roommates in a group must have the same sex. The classification they will have in the upcoming semester must also be the same. Possible classifications are as follow: New First Year, New Transfer, Continuing Undergrad, New Graduate, or Graduate Continuing. Please thoroughly read this section. To search for a roommate please click on Search for roommates by details.

19 You MUST know your roommates legal first and last name(s) and their student ID number(s) to search for them in StarRez. Your roommates also need to have filed housing applications prior to being searched for or they will not show up in the search. When your roommate has an application on file and you have searched for them, they will show up in this field.

20 You can view your roommate s Profile to confirm that you will be compatible in a shared space.

21 After you decide they are the right fit, you must Request them as a roommate so that an is sent to them to accept you as a roommate.

22 Your list of roommate requests will show up in the Roommate Search step as Requested Roommates.

23 Your Selected roommate(s) will receive an to confirm your request to be their roommate.

24 Please read this section thoroughly. This concludes your housing application process. You may now log out until you confirm your roommates and get your Lottery time slot. Lottery time slots are sent via . See the most recent Room Draw Guide and the Room Draw housing page for dates and times.

25 On the day of your scheduled time slot you may log on through the Mills Portal, then select Academic Year application.

26 Click on Room on the next step bar and then click on the Room Search Wizard under the next step bar to the right, next to Main.

27 Select the building that best fits your needs.

28 Each building is separated by wings and floors to make choosing a room easier.

29 After you have identified the wing and floor you want, you will see all available rooms in that area along with a floor plan. You can zoom in and out to locate the best room for you.

30 Confirm your final room selection and, if applicable, choose spaces within the same room, suite, or apartment for your roommate(s).

31 Please read the Residence Agreement step very thoroughly before selecting I Agree.

32 Please select a Meal Plan that best fits you.

33 At the conclusion, you will get to the Application Status step that confirms your Housing Application was completed and gives your Room Details.
