4 GSR PT Sample Individual Evaluation Quick Guide Introduction 1 Introduction GSR PT Sample Individual Evaluation provides a web tool for the automatic online evaluation of quality control measurements of the standard GSR Proficiency Test samples from the years 2010, 2011 and/or The website address is Figure 1: Start screen of GSR PT Sample Individual Evaluation Once you have imported your data, the following documents are generated: A PDF report which provides a chart of the detected particles an overview of the number of correctly detected particles a z score evaluation of the corresponding GSR PT a plot of the detection capability Furthermore, a dynamic chart (see Figure 2) is provided which allows an individual analysis and a specific examination of the measurement by means of several available selection criteria. 6 GSR PT Sample Individual Evaluation Quick Guide Login 2 Login You will first have to register as a user to be able to use GSR PT Sample Individidual Evaluation. First, please go to the website You can then enter the username and password you were given and click the button Login. Figure 4: Registration as a user of GSR PT Sample Individidual Evaluation The first time you log in, you are asked (for security reasons) to change your password under the item My Account on the navigation bar. 7 GSR PT Sample Individual Evaluation Quick Guide Import of data 3 Import of data Please perform the following steps in order to submit your data to the webserver: 1. Please click on the button Import on the navigation bar. 2. An empty input field appears for you to copy your test results. Please note that only the absolute X- and Y- coordinates (for FEI-GSR (EDAX-based) Stage X, Stage Y, Beam X and Beam Y) as well as the measured size of the particles detected are mandatory. Furthermore the corresponding particle classification and/or individual Feature ID can be submitted. The data should be submitted by means of Copy and Paste from a tab-delimited file (we recommend Excel). Figure 5: Input measured data 3. Please complete the data import by clicking the button Next. 4. Please select the relevant GSR PT either GSR2010 or GSR2011 or GSR2012 and click Select. You then enter the sample code in the input field and give your evaluation a name in the last input field. 5. Please enable the radio button labeled FEI-GSR (EDAX based) if you used such a SEM sytem. Now please label each column of the imported measurement data. The possible labels are X, Y, ECD, FeatureID and Class. Please note that the use of X, Y and ECD is mandatory. For the FEI-GSR (EDAX based) system Stage X, Stage Y, Beam X and Beam Y should be selected instead of X and Y. For columns without a suitable assignment you can select [IGNORE]. It is moreover possible to ignore the first row, e.g. if the first row contains your column headings. Page 8/13 QuoData GmbH

Please confirm the assignment of the columns by means of clicking the button Next. 9. Subsequently please assign the various classes imported to three different classifications Characteristic, Consistent and Other. Characteristic means threecomponent Pb/Ba/Sb particles representing characteristic GSR particles. Twocomponent particles (Pb/Ba, Pb/Sb or Ba/Sb) are denoted as Consistent. Particles assigned to Other are not considered in the evaluation. You must at least assign one class either to Characteristic or to Consistent. QuoData GmbH Page 9/13

Finally, please confirm the assignment of the classes by clicking the button Next. The import is finished. Your imported data for the X- and Y- coordinates, diameter, feature ID, class, as well as your assignment of the classes are presented in tabular form in the tab View. Page 10/13 QuoData GmbH

11 GSR PT Sample Individual Evaluation Quick Guide Analysis of data 4 Analysis of data If the data has been entered correctly the analysis can start: Please click the button Calculation on the navigation bar. Below Datasets the dataset which has just been imported is displayed in the first line. Click the button Standard Evaluation to start the automatic evaluation. Figure 9: Select dataset for the automatic evaluation Below List of analysis you find the current processing stage of your dataset in the first line in the field. The following terms are used: queued means that the analysis has not yet started, but it is in the queue working means that the analysis of your data is running finished means that the analysis is finished and the results can be viewed under Results in the navigation bar Please note that the calculation of your data may require up to a minute due to the optimization algorithms involved. In case of a great number of detected particles the calculation process may take a few minutes. QuoData GmbH Page 11/13

12 GSR PT Sample Individual Evaluation Quick Guide Data results 5 Data results If the analysis is finished the overview of the results can be viewed by clicking the button Results on the navigation bar. The static report with all tables and charts can be viewed by clicking the button download PDF to the right of the relevant dataset. The dynamic chart can be opened by selecting the checkboxes of the relevant datasets and confirming the selection by clicking the button Show results. Figure 10: Overview of results and selection of datasets of interest You can save an image of the animated flash chart by right-clicking the mouse and then by selecting save diagram as image (300 dpi). 13 GSR PT Sample Individual Evaluation Quick Guide Purchasing of evaluations 6 Purchasing of evaluations Under the menu item Bookings there is a list of all analyses carried out. Furthermore the number of remaining evaluations is given behind Remaining evaluations. Figure 11: Overview of all analyses carried out If further evaluations are desired please click order new evaluations and follow the instructions during the payment process: Starting with the entry of the number of desired evaluations, followed by the selection of the payment method (direct debit, credit card) as well as the entry of the banking or credit card information and at the end the confirmation of payment.
