With your e-portfolio, you have the opportunity to take ownership of your own work and the development of own work, and for assembling the e-portfolio as a way of generating evidence to show that assessment has taken place. Myshowcase.me gives you a private online learning space to develop a web-based portfolio. It is a unique space allowing you to store digitised coursework to evidence your learning and integrate it to best demonstrate your academic achievements in support to assessment and or personal and professional development. Use the portfolio to: Maintain a well-organised record of coursework and evidence you collate across modules Document a placement experience with a reflective dairy, photos and invite in a tutor for feedback Collect materials related to employment, societies, voluntary work Identify and reflect on skills developed during placement/employment Invite a potential employer to look at examples of your work show rather than just tell them about what you do. 1

2 2. Create an account Figure 1: Myshowcase.me home page. Create An Account. Login at the following address: and select Create an Account and register using your University Ensure you select the checkbox for terms of use to proceed. Ensure to click on the Save settings button located on the top right of the screen. Guidance to complete e-portfolio Professional practice requirements are fulfilled by undertaking practice learning and crediting competences in accordance with the professional body requirements. The evidencing of these competences is a compulsory programme assessment requirement, and with regard to assessing practice, competences should be evidenced from examples drawn from: Product, Self-reflective, and Third Party, 'third party (e.g. observation of practice reports and competence claims endorsed by a professional witness)' to: 'third party (e.g. placement reports; observation comments by colleagues or participants) and: 'Evidence: Be sure to provide a summary about the item you have added and explain what you have learned and categorise the item as Product, Selfreflective, or Third Party'. to: 'Evidence: Be sure to provide a summary about the item you have added, explaining how it meets the matched competences and what you have learned. Also do categorise the item as Product, Self-reflective, or Third Party'. Myshowcase.me has a range of tools to upload a variety of files and digital media content, such as documents, video, and photos, including options to link out to other social media resources you may have online, e.g. photo collections on Flickr. Evidence: Be sure to provide a summary about the item you have added and explain what you have learned and categorise the item as Product, Self-reflective, or Third Party. 3
