3 1. Introduction As a participants in the STORK 2.0 ebanking pilot, Arion bank in cooperation with Advania has built an online web application. This pilot service will provide a simple transparent and cross-border operational way to enable citizens of countries participating in STORK 2.0 to register online with Arion banki, i.e. open an account in Iceland, even though they don t live or do not have a permanent residency in Iceland. The aim of the pilot is to examine both legal and physical barriers for cross border online opening of a bank account. The services built for the Arion banki ebanking pilot are: 1 Enroll for opening a demo bank account. 2 Log on to an existing demo bank account ( available: august 2014). To start the process for enrolling for a demo bank account please press the button with the label Enroll for a bank account. The Citizen must have: 1 A valid Domestic eid (e.g. Citizen Card) + appropriate software/hardware for using the eid online. 2 Valid address. 3 Facsimilie of passport or physical ID stamped by notary public. 4 Proof of residence (e.g. copy of utility bill). If the applicant does not have Icelandic kennitala, is one part of the enrollment process to complete and electronically sign an application form for Icelandic kennitala at the National registry of Iceland. The National registry needs up to 3 weeks to process new kennitala. 2. Steps 2.1. Step 1 The user enters the main page to authenticate: Document name: LE83074A / Dags.: Page 3 of 18

13 2.5. Step 10 The user chooses to sign the application for National ID, by selecting the Sign button in the Request for National ID (kennitala) field. One chooses edit in the same field to change the information in the application form Step 11 The user choose contry for the digital signature service to be used and press Submit (Usually the signing service is located country of the users origin). Step 16 The user can now sign the copy of the passport Step 17 Once the user has both uploaded a copy of the passport and signed the application for National ID ( Kennitala ) the user can submit the application for kennitala to the national registry. Step 18 The user when the national registry has processed the application for Kennitala the new Kennitala appears in the users ebanking application account Step 19 The user can now sign the remaining documents to be signed.
