How to use Kendall County Interactive Map System: STEP 1: Go onto Kendall County Home/Main Page at: http://www.co.kendall.il.

1 How to use Kendall County Interactive Map System: STEP 1: Go onto Kendall County Home/Main Page at: STEP 2: Under the County Offices tab, click on Planning, Building, and Zoning tab. STEP 3: Over to the left, click on Interactive Maps tab. This will take you to the GIS interactive viewer gallery. STEP 4: GIS interactive viewer gallery has 5 different viewers: (1) Simple GIS viewer, (2) Basic GIS viewer, (3) PBZ GIS viewer, (4) CAMA/SALES and (5) Voter Precinct. From here, the suggestion is to click on the PBZ GIS viewer. However, all the GIS viewers will have different main functions and provide different information. STEP 5: PBZ GIS Viewer can provide some information: Building Permits, PBZ Data, Fire Stations, FEMA Data, Zoning, Wetlands, Boundary Agreements, Unofficial Prairie, Parkway, Creeks, Text, Road Names, Subdivision Boundaries, Lot, Parcel, ROW, Lines, Forest Preserve Boundaries, Parcel Boundaries, Corporate Boundaries, 2 ft Contours and 1939, 2003, 2006, 2010 & 2014 Aerials. Bolded items are the most common questions. STEP 6: Please enter in an address in the top right corner or enter in a parcel number in the search widget to the left.

Information included: Pin, Tax code, Class, Owner Name, Site address, City/State/Zip, Brief legal, Gross acres, Tax Bill and a tab a user can click on for Assessment Information. STEP 11 (Optional): A user can click on the Assessment Information. Information includes: Assessments, Billing and collection, Exemptions, Farmland, Parcel Genealogy, Legal description, Names, Sales, Redemption, Site address, and Taxing Bodies.

STEP 12: If a user is wondering if their property is unincorporated or incorporated, the easiest way is to look at the taxing bodies under the assessment information tab.

If there is a village or city name listed in the taxing body, the property is incorporated in the name. For example, in step 11, the taxing bodies do not have a city or village which means it is in unincorporated Kendall County. STEP 13: If a user is wondering if their property is in a flood plain. Click on More... tab next to 1939 aerial photo tab. The FEMA data will show a blue or blue with red stripe if the property has a possibility of getting flooded. This parcel does not have a change of being flooded base on the FEMA data. The More tab also has other features that can be another layer onto the map. For example, if a user did not want any text on the page, they could unclick the text box and the text will get hidden.
