3 REGISTRATION Before you can access the administration section of your Genesis 2 Website, you will need to register and confirm your user name and password on the Genesis 2 network. On completion of the Genesis 2 commercial contract, the Genesis administration team at MWEB will set-up the necessary Website details on the system and you a link to confirm your registration details. Thereafter, the following process will need to be followed in order to access the secure administration section, of your Genesis Website. Direct your browser to: 1. The User Name field would be your address that you either supplied when signing the contract or it may be the address MWEB generated for you after you signed the commercial contract. 2. The Password field must contain the password you selected during registration. 2

4 3. After you have typed in your name and password, please click on login. 3

5 Once logged in, please select your request by simply clicking on the required service LAUNCH GENESIS 2 WIZARD STEP1: Choose a Template The Genesis Wizard contains a 7 step easy to use process Each step contains a site map which enables you to initiate a quick click through to your requested change First, select a template which best fits your Website s requirements Once complete, please click continue 4

6 Genesis 2 Site Map Each step contains a site map which enables you to initiate a quick click through to your requested change Simply click on the step you would like to change immediately and the wizard will then take you to that relevant step 5

7 STEP 2: Upload Banner & General Option Settings Step 2 will view the banner that you have created for your Website. To retrieve the banner you have created/had created, simply click on the browse button alongside the New Banner field. The browse feature will bring up your file directory list. Locate and select your saved banner and click on Open. The file name will now be saved in the New Banner field. The banner must contain a maximum layout size as prescribed in each of the templates. Under the General Settings feature, the following settings are available: Site Title: This would be the name of your Website Website Support Address: This would be the address visitors can direct queries to. 6

8 Text: This would be the name you would like to call your Website support field Font: The wording of your Website Support field can either be set as Arial, Courier, Verdana or Times New Roman Style: This feature creates a style setting associated with your Website Support text. The style can either be set as Normal, Italic, Bold or Bold-Italic Size: This feature creates the size of the textual setting associated with the text in your Website Support field. The textual setting can be set as 1 (8pt), 2(10pt) or 3(12pt) Colour: This feature enables you to set the general colour of your Website Support text. To set the colour, click on the colour pallet located next to the colour field. Display: This feature enables you to decide were you would like the Website Support link to appear. Please click on the display drop down menu and select your choice Page Submit Button: This feature enables you to decide which Submit button you would like associated with your Website Support response . Please select a button from the list provided, or click on the browse button to extract a custom built button from your local directory. 7

9 Meta Description: This field should contain a meta description of the products/services you display in your Website. This feature will enable external visitors to search for your products/services via local and international search engines. Meta Keywords: This field should contain keywords that are associated with your products/services offered on your Website. This feature will enable external visitors to search for your products/services via Local and international search engines. Please insert your keywords with a comma between each word. For example: couch, tables, chairs 8

10 Site Default Font: This feature enables you to set the textual look and feel of the Website Font: The Website can have the followign font setting Arial, Courier, Verdana or Times New Roman Style: This feature creates a style setting associated with the text layout in your Website. The style can either be set as Normal, Italic, Bold or Bold-Italic Size: This feature creates the size of the textual setting associated with the text in your Website Support field. The textual setting can be set as 1 (8pt), 2(10pt) or 3(12pt) Colour: This feature enables you to set the colour of your Website text. To set the colour, click on the colour pallet located next to the colour field. Site Background Colour: This feature enables you to set the site background colour associated to your Website. To set the colour, click on the colour pallet located next to the colour field Once complete, you can choose to go Back to the Previous Screen, Preview your change, Save and Publish your change or Continue to the next screen STEP 3: Home & Search This Step looks at the Home and Search bar located on your Website 9

11 Bar Background Colour: This feature enables you to set a background colour to the Home & Search box on your Website Home Link: This feature enables you to select a Home Link option for your Web Store Option 1: This is the Button option. Please select a button from the list supplied. If you wish to utilise a uniquely created button, please click on browse to extract the file name of your created button from your PC directory Option 2: This is the Icon option. Please select an Icon from the list supplied. If you wish to utilise a uniquely created Icon, please click on browse to extract the file name of your created Icon from your PC directory 10

12 Option 3: This is the text version. Please type in the required text in the wording field. Font: The wording can have the followign font setting Arial, Courier, Verdana or Times New Roman Style: This feature creates a style setting associated with the layout of the wording. The style can either be set as Normal, Italic, Bold or Bold- Italic Size: This feature creates the size of the textual setting associated with the wording. The textual setting can be set as 1 (8pt), 2(10pt) or 3(12pt) Colour: This feature enables you to set the textual colour of the wording. To set the colour, click on the colour pallet located next to the colour field. 11

13 Option 4: This is the Text and Icon option: Text Layout Please type in the required text in the wording field. Font: The wording can have the following font setting Arial, Courier, Verdana or Times Size: New Roman Style: This feature creates a style setting associated with the layout of the wording. The style can either be set as Normal, Italic, Bold or Bold-Italic This feature creates the size of the textual setting associated with the wording. The textual setting can be set as 1 (8pt), 2(10pt) or 3(12pt) Colour: This feature enables you to set the textual colour of the wording. To set the colour, click on the colour pallet located next to the colour field. 12

14 Icon Layout Please select an Icon from the list supplied. If you wish to utilise a uniquely created Icon, please click on browse to extract the file name of your created Icon from your PC directory. Site Search: This feature helps you create the layout of your Site Search Icons: Here you can choose which Site Search icon best fits your Website look and feel. Please select your choice by clicking on the field alongside the image. You can also choose to upload your own uniquely designed icon. If you have an Image saved in a directory on your PC, simply click on Browse, locate the Directory, and select the image. Once the file name has been selected, this feature will extract the image via the file name. If you choose to have no image displayed at all, please click on None Text: This feature helps you create the wording you would like to associate with the Site Search feature. Once you have decided what you would like to call Site Search, simply type in the required text in the Wording field. Should you wish to keep the field generic and call it Site Search, just type in Site Search. 13

15 Font: The Site Search wording can have the following font setting Arial, Courier, Verdana or Times New Roman Style: This feature creates a style setting associated with the layout of the Site Search Size: wording. The style can either be set as Normal, Italic, Bold or Bold-Italic This feature creates the size of the textual setting associated with the Site Search wording. The textual setting can be set as 1 (8pt), 2(10pt) or 3(12pt) Colour: This feature enables you to set the textual colour of the Site Search wording. To set the colour, click on the colour pallet located next to the colour field. Background Colour: This feature enables you to set the Site Search background colour. Please click on the colour pallet alongside the field and select a colour The Go Button: This is the button that exists alongside the Site Search Field. Please select the type of button that best fits your Website s look and feel from list alongside the field. 14

16 You can choose to upload your own uniquely designed button. If you have an Image saved in a directory on your PC, simply click on Browse, locate the Directory, and select the image. Once the file name has been selected, this feature will extract the image via the file name. Once complete, you can choose to go Back to the Previous Screen, Preview your change, Save and Publish your change or Continue to the next screen STEP 4: Website Navigation This section deals with the Website navigational settings (Site categories, etc) Website Mouse over Background Colour: This feature enables you to select a background colour to the mouse over effect within your template. Please click on the colour pallet alongside the field and choose a colour. **Please note that only Template 1 in the Genesis Wizard supports Mouse Over Functionality** 15

17 Website Navigation Background Colour: This feature enables you to select a background colour To the Website category section. Please click on the colour pallet alongside the field and choose a colour. Website Category Navigation: This feature enables you to select an icon for your category setting: Collapse Icon: This is the Icon that closes/minimises the product s sub and sub-sub categories. Please select an icon from the list provided. If you wish to use a uniquely created Icon, please click on the Browse button to extract the image from a file name located on your PC directory. If you choose to have no Icon, please select No Collapse Icon Expanded Icon: This is the Icon that expands/opens the category s sub and sub-sub categories. Please select an icon from the list provided. If you wish to use a uniquely created Icon, please click on the Browse button to extract the image from a file name located on your PC directory. If you choose to have no Icon, please select No Expanded Icon Text alignment: This feature enables you to select either right or left position for the category Names. Please click on the drop down menu and select a position. 16

18 Website Navigation Text: This feature enables you to textualise the Website navigation (Category) text Font: The Font Type can have the followign font setting Arial, Courier, Verdana or Font Size: Font Colour: Times New Roman Font Style: This feature creates a style setting associated with the layout of the Font Style. The style can either be set as Normal, Italic, Bold or Bold-Italic This feature creates the size of the textual setting associated with the Font Style. The textual setting can be set as 1 (8pt), 2(10pt) or 3(12pt) This feature enables you to set the textual colour of the Font Colour. To set the colour, click on the colour pallet located next to the colour field. 17

19 Website Navigation Manage Text: This section enables you to add a new and edit your Website Categories Add New Category: To add a new category simply click on the Add New Category button As displayed above, the Add New Category text box will then pop up. Click on the {Click to Add Category} link below the drop down box To call an existing category name, simply click on the drop down menu box and select your category 18

20 Please enter the new category name in the text box and click update To cancel the new category name click on cancel 19

21 To add a sub category simply click on the {Click to Add Sub Category} link below the drop down box To call an existing sub category name, simply click on the drop down menu box and select your sub category 20

22 Please enter the sub category name in the text box and click update To cancel the sub category name click on cancel To add a new sub-sub category simply click on the {Click to Add Sub - sub Category} link below the drop down box To call an existing sub-sub category name, simply click on the drop down menu box and select your sub-sub category name 21

23 Please enter the sub-sub category name in the text box and click update To cancel the sub-sub category name click on cancel 22

24 Edit Category: This feature enables you to edit and add text your Website categories Keywords: These would be keywords associated with the category name URL: This would be an external Website url that you would like to assign to the category name for further information Target: This feature enables you to identify on what page you would like the requested url content to open on To update the category page text, simply click on Launch Category Page Editor to launch the HTML Editor 23

25 Please type in the required category information and add in images, hyperlinks, tables, font styles.etc Once complete, please click on the Save button located on the top left hand corner of the HTML Editor. The button looks like a little disk and will save all the information you have captured in the HTML Editor. Close the HTML Editor and then click on complete Once complete, you can choose to go Back to the Previous Screen, Preview your change, Save and Publish your change or Continue to the next screen 24

26 STEP 5: System Categories (About us, Contact us, Help) This section deals with the System Categories and their look and feel System Navigation Background Colour: This feature enables you to assign a background colour to The System Navigation block. Please click on the colour pallet alongside the field to Select a colour Site Border Line Colour: This feature enables you select a border line colour to the System Categories block. Please click on the colour pallet alongside the field to select a colour. 25

27 System Navigation Text: This feature enables you to textualise the look and feel of the System Navigation Text. Font: Font Style: Font Size: The Font Type can have the followign font setting Arial, Courier, Verdana or Times New Roman This feature creates a style setting associated with the layout of the Font Style. The style can either be set as Normal, Italic, Bold or Bold-Italic This feature creates the size of the textual setting associated with the Font Style. The textual setting can be set as 1 (8pt), 2(10pt) or 3(12pt) Font Colour: This feature enables you to set the textual colour of the Font Colour. To set the colour, click on the colour pallet located next to the colour field. 26

28 System Categories: This feature enables you to add text to the three System Categories as listed above To add text, simply click on the category name Category Name: This is the textual name you like to call the category Category Description: This is a textual description of the category name Category URL Link: This would be an associated Website url that you could choose to link the category to for further information To update the systems category page text, simply click on Launch Category Page Editor to launch the HTML Editor 27

30 STEP 6: Logo s This section deals with the positioning of the Genesis 2 logo on your Website Choose a Logo: Please select a Genesis 2 logo that will appear on your Website Choose Placement: Please select whether you would like the Logo to be present on the left or right of your Website Once complete, you can choose to go Back to the Previous Screen, Preview your change, Save and Publish your change or Continue to the next screen 29

31 STEP 7: Landing Page Text This section deals with your Website s home page/landing page text To add text and images to your home page, please click on Launch HTML Editor **Templates 1, 2 and 3 will be able to configure all their text and images through the HTML Editor 30

32 Please type in the required home page information and add in images, hyperlinks, tables, font styles.etc Once complete, please click on the Save button located on the top left hand corner of the HTML Editor. The button looks like a little disk and will save all the information you have captured in the HTML Editor. ** Over and above the use of the HTML Editor, Genesis Templates 4, 5 and 6 will need to select and input the following information: 31

33 Home Page Border colour: This feature enables you to select a home page border colour. Please click on the colour pallet alongside the field and select a colour Home Page Heading: Please type in your Home Page Heading into this field Font: Font Style: Font Size: Font Colour: The Font Type can have the followign font setting Arial, Courier, Verdana or Times New Roman This feature creates a style setting associated with the layout of the Font Style. The style can either be set as Normal, Italic, Bold or Bold-Italic This feature creates the size of the textual setting associated with the Font Style. The textual setting can be set as 1 (8pt), 2(10pt) or 3(12pt) This feature enables you to set the textual colour of the Font Colour. To set the colour, click on the colour pallet located next to the colour field. **To add text and images to your home page, please click on Launch HTML Editor and follow the steps as outlined earlier in this step Once complete, you can choose to go Back to the Previous Screen or Save and Publish your change 32

34 MANAGE MY PROFILE This section deals with profile updates and changes Simply select the areas of information would like to change/update and then click on Edit Member 33
