7 January 2016 Mini Update To address priority issues and the ability to support the following features: Direct users using the Sponsor/Advisor links from the participant website back to the new Sponsor and Advisor website. Return users back to the new Sponsor and Advisor website from SchARP. Single sign-on directly into the new Sponsor and Advisor website from your (or your sponsor s) corporate sites. Direct users to specified web page (other than the login page) upon logout. Direct users to the new Sponsor and Advisor website from a link in an . Note: To ensure a seamless user experience, we recommend that you plan your broader rollout to clients to occur after this mini update is implemented. 6

8 Transition Best Practices Take time to set up, customize, familiarize yourself with the new website features and determine your rollout approach while your clients continue using the legacy website. Include a small group of trusted sponsors and advisors to actively use the new website over the next 60 days. Use the Customer Portal to submit questions, feedback, ideas and to report any issues. Reminder: The "advisor" role can be configured to plans assigned to a relationship manager within your own firm, or assigned to all plans as an owner or principal in your firm. 7

9 New Customization Tools Your existing sponsor/advisor skins, menus, and content will not transfer to the new site. If you wish to customize the default appearance of the site, you must use the new options in the Administration section of the new site. Note: For more information on using the new Skin Manager and Navbar Manager, see Appendix B of the Plan Sponsor/Plan Advisor User Guide. 8

10 Customization Procedure - Summary To customize the default appearance of the new site: 1. Logon to the new sponsor/advisor site and open the Administration tab. Note: To access the new Administration options, your security profile must include the Schwab RT Admin system. As a best practice, sponsors and advisors should not be given access to the Administration section of the site. 2. Use the Skin Manager option to create new skins or edit a copy of the default skin provided with the new site. Sponsors and advisors can use the same skin. 3. Use the Navbar Manager option to customize the menu options on the new site. For the initial release, only one menu can be created for sponsors & one for advisors. Note: Other than menu and submenu names, no other page content can be modified on the new sites. 9

11 Customization Assigning Skins After you have customized the skins on the new site, you must assign them to the appropriate sponsor or advisor using the Plan Sponsor or Financial Advisor Template Options in Schwab RT Admin Security Schwab RT Admin Note that only the skin field is added for the new site, separate from the template assignments (skin and menu) for the legacy site. 10

13 Validating Custom Reports (Reports I ve Requested) We recommend that you fully test any custom reports that you have created where users can request and publish custom Crystal Reports to the Report Center. This is to validate if the parameters you are using in your custom reports respond with the results you are expecting. Please provide details and a copy of the Crystal Report through the Customer Portal if you encounter any issues with your custom reports. 12
