Code Location: Land O Lakes 7. Job Summary: A web designer/developer is responsible for the design, layout and coding of a website. They are involved with the technical and graphical aspects of a website - how the site works and how it looks. They can also be involved with the maintenance and update of an existing site.this position performs specialized job duties which include performing complex graphics and web design tasks, planning site design by clarifying goals and designing functionality. Be able to wireframe/layout a website or web application; manipulate layouts and styles; write HTML and CSS from scratch; take a PSD and turn it into a working website; add interactivity to a website with JavaScript (or jquery); write a basic application in an object-oriented programming language like Ruby or Python or C#; work comfortably with a version control system like GIT or TFS; manage a domain s DNS settings and deploy a website host. Extensive use of computer and web-based software, in-depth knowledge of the concepts and terminology of Information Technology, technical specifications, web publishing, content updates and graphics design. 8. Education and Experience: AA or AS degree in Web Development or Computer related field preferred plus one year of application experience in job-related areas such as the Adobe software suite. Experience with HTML5, CSS, and Java Scripting, C++, WordPress. Must have, or obtain within six months of employment, the MTA: HTML5 App Development certification. Failure to obtain and maintain certifications (no more than three years between recertification) will result in reclassification to a lower position, if available. ACE Web Specialist certification desired. 12. Illustrative duties and responsibilities: 25% DUTY AREA ADMINISTRATIVE: Create graphic art products for agency units and publications, including the Internet/Intranet website and social media sites Interact with agency members to determine and analyze the scope of a project Review final layouts to make needed suggestions for improvement Develops Standard Operating Procedures for making web changes

2 Maintains site appearance by developing and enforcing content and display standards; editing submissions Establish the purpose of the website based upon its target audience Identify the type of content the site will host Determine any functionality that the site must support, for example, whether it will handle financial transactions or enquiries Give guidance on layout, colors and styles 75% DUTY AREA - GENERAL DUTIES: Write the programming code, either from scratch or by adapting existing website software and graphics packages to meet business requirements Test the website and identify any technical problems Upload the site onto a server and register it with different search engines Coordinate with team members to build new websites and web applications Update and maintain existing websites and web applications Design graphics that identify a product or communicate an idea Create the architecture and content of a website Develop and maintain quality code, create unit tests, and fix bugs in a development environment Test new programs to ensure that logic and syntax are correct, and that program results are accurate Incorporate recommended changes by the clients into the final design applications Work as part of a team with web developers, and other specialists Constructs workflow charts/diagrams and documents code consistently throughout the development process by listing a description of the program, special instructions, and any changes made in database tables on procedural, modular, and database level Manage multiple assignments and balance workload according to priorities Collaborate with team members to identify and implement project solutions Designing websites for clients within an HTML5 / WordPress environment Creating graphic assets for various advertising campaigns and web deployments Collaborating with clients and customer-relations personnel to create unique web assets, which include websites, logos and distributed s Working with internal personnel to create front-ends for internal development projects

4 Interpret website and product mockups and wireframes you get from designers Translating designs into working code Understanding layers, Read dimensions with software such as Photoshop The use of programming languages needed to create graphic elements and create and maintain websites to include: WordPress, Adobe Creative Suite (CCS) products: Acrobat, Dreamweaver, Flash, Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, Premiere, After Effects, Media Encoder, AIR, and the advanced features of the Microsoft Office suite of products In-depth Code development in WordPress, C#, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, ActionScript and various database structuring Strong time management and ability to multi-task ABILITY TO: Conceptualize the graphic needs of agency projects and translate those ideas into appropriate materials Organize and bring assignments to completion and work with minimum supervision Clearly speak, understand, read, and legibly write English Maintain confidentiality Work as part of a synergistic team sharing information and working together to better the organization MINIMUM PHYSICAL AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS 20/20 vision (corrected/uncorrected), Ability to hear conversation at a normal level (assisted or unassisted), Ability to work in hazardous conditions if needed. 14. Amount and type of supervision position receive: Employee works under moderate guidance and supervision from Community Relations Director. 16. Review procedures: Work is reviewed upon completion and/or periodically by the Community Relations Director. Receives a formal, written performance appraisal once annually unless in the intro period then every quarter for the first year. 17.
