3 End of Support for Internet Explorer 8 As of January 12, 2016, Microsoft announced it will support only the most current version of Internet Explorer available for their supported operating systems. Exact information on OS and IE version supported can be found at the following site: As TASER previously announced, Evidence.com 1.31 is the last Evidence.com release that supports Internet Explorer 8. In releases after Evidence.com 1.31, TASER cannot guarantee compatibility with Internet Explorer 8 and will not support its use with Evidence.com. We highly encourage agencies to upgrade to the most current version of Internet Explorer that their operating system is compatible with. As Microsoft updates their support policy TASER will do so as well in order to ensure the highest level of security. If you use Internet Explorer 8 to access your Evidence.com agency, TASER recommends that you choose one of the following options: Update Internet Explorer to the latest version. Use a different browser, such as Google Chrome. Manual Redaction Enhancements Evidence.com 1.31 includes the enhancements to the manual redaction tools: Blur selection Users can select the degree of blurring applied to each video mask segment. Low blur, medium blur, high blur, or blackout is available. Audio masking Users can redact audio from segments of videos by placing one or more audio mask segments in the new Audio Mute object. Users can access these features when creating a new manual redaction or when editing a redaction. Although users do not have access to these features when creating an assisted redaction with Smart Tracker technology, these features are available when users manually edit redactions generated by Smart Tracker. 5 Reporting Enhancements In the Reports section of Evidence.com 1.31, the Category Summary report includes the option to limit reporting data to include only evidence that was recorded in a date range. The Reports user interface provides settings for specifying the date range. Partner API Enhancements Date Parameter Support for Category Summary Report Data Complementing the enhancement to the Category Summary report in the Evidence.com user interface, the GET /api/v1/agencies/{agencyid}/reports/data resource in the Evidence.com 1.31 Partner API includes support for limiting reporting data to include only evidence that was recorded within a date range. The resource supports two new parameters for specifying the start date and end date, in ISO 8601 format. Bulk User Update Support The Evidence.com Partner API now supports the ability to update existing multiple user accounts in one operation. Changes to user accounts must be specified in a commaseparated values (CSV) file that is included in the API request. For example, if your agency implements a change to its infrastructure that affects the addresses of dozens of Evidence.com users, you can create a CSV file that specifies the new addresses of all affected users and issue a single request using the Partner API. If your agency would like to use the bulk user update API resource, please earlyaccess@taser.com. Axon View Mobile App Updates The Axon View mobile app replaces Axon Mobile, providing all the features and functions that your agency has relied upon in Axon Mobile and adding support for Axon Body 2 with video preview at 30 frames per second. Users can view live and recorded video on a connected Axon camera and can tag video-evidence files with metadata such as title, ID, and retention category. When a connected Axon camera is recording, Axon View can use the GPS TASER International, Inc. Page 5 of 7

6 functionality of the mobile device to provide location metadata that the camera embeds in the video-evidence file. ios 7 and above Available now in the App Store. Android 4.3 and above Available soon in the Play Store. If your agency previously deployed Axon Mobile, updates to the Axon Mobile app will rename it to Axon View automatically. After the update, officers should look for the Axon View icon: Axon Capture Mobile App Updates The Axon Capture mobile app replaces Evidence Mobile. As with its predecessor app, Axon Capture enables users to capture and upload photos, videos, and audio in the field from a supported mobile device. Axon Capture also enables users to tag captured evidence files with metadata. Axon Capture can apply location metadata to captured evidence files. When an Internet connection is available to the mobile device, the user can upload captured evidence files to an Evidence.com agency. ios 8 and above Available soon in the App Store. Android 4.1 and above Available soon in the Play Store. If your agency previously deployed Evidence Mobile, updates to the Evidence Mobile app will rename it to Axon Capture automatically. After the update, officers should look for the Axon Capture icon: Evidence Sync Updates In support of Axon Body 2, a new version of the Evidence Sync application is coming soon. 7 Upcoming Version Numbering System Change Beginning with the February release of Evidence.com, TASER is adopting a new version numbering system that reflects the regular, monthly release process of Evidence.com updates and enhancements. The new system will identify Evidence.com releases by their release date, using a YY.MM.DD format. Rather than version 1.32, the Evidence.com release scheduled for February 23, 2016, will be version Release notes, user guides, and other communications will refer to the February release as Evidence.com TASER remains committed to monthly Evidence.com updates on the fourth Tuesday of the month. Early Access Features The following features are available only to agencies who request early access: Single sign-on Authenticate users with the credentials stored in your agency s identity provisioning service. This authentication method provides enhanced security because it does not send usernames or passwords to Evidence.com. Your agency retains centralized control of user access to Evidence.com. Image tools Users can crop and rotate images, in addition to adjusting the brightness and contrast of images. Users can then extract a new image evidence file that incorporates the modifications, leaving the original image evidence file unaltered. If you would like to request access to any of these features, please earlyaccess@taser.com. Issues Resolved in Evidence.com 1.31 In Evidence.com release 1.31, TASER resolved the following issues: Evidence.com was showing incorrect warranty dates for some devices. Evidence.com 1.31 shows the correct warranty dates. Evidence.com was limiting Partner Agency search results within the case-sharing workflow.
