2 W 732/2 Look out for the latest release Windows 10 the New Creators Update Microsoft have been releasing the third major update to Windows 10, billed as the Creators Update, since April However, unlike previous Windows updates, the Creators Update comes in two parts. The first part was released in April 2017, but the second part was released in the Autumn of The update has the version number 1703 and the internal build number stands for the year 2017 (17) and the third month (March 03). It is about 2 GB in size and can be thought of as the third version for Windows 10, following the Anniversary update last year. How to find out which Windows 10 version you currently have installed on your system The winver command Check the build number Installing the Autumn Creators Update without problems depends on your Windows 10 system being as up-to-date as possible. You can press + R, type winver and click OK to check if your Windows system already has the latest updates installed. If you see version 1703 installed, it means that the original Creators Update is already in place, and if you see 1709, the Autumn version is installed.
