Identify and describe the purpose of the various storage locations available for storing electronic files. 1d. Demonstrate skill in manipulating (creating, copying, moving, saving, renaming) electronic files within the operating system's scheme of file management on both local storage and cloud storage. 1e. 3 Methods of Instruction Guided observation to view a demonstration with explanation and examples of the Windows operating system skills and concepts via live and/or video demonstrations, followed by hands-on guided (cued) practice of the skills and concepts, followed by hands-on attempts at skill and concept mastery with little or no guidance and extensive decision making to manage, store, and retrieve computer files and to use the Windows operating system features to personalize and secure a personal computer. Methods of Evaluation of Student Performance Formative assessments: Content-based, hands-on projects within units of instruction. These projects, which consist of the production of file management and proper use of operating system functions, enable the student and the instructor to assess mastery of skills and concepts during a unit of instruction, when adjustments and prescriptive assignments can be incorporated. Summative assessments: Authentic outcomes-based assessments that are cumulative at the end of a unit of instruction and also at the end of the course which result in a written description or enactment and/or role play of a response to a Help Desk call produced by the student with no guidance and that is evaluated using an appropriate analytic rubric that distinguishes novice work from expert work. Assignments Assignment 1. Search the Bell_Orchid folder using the criteria dr and change the view to Details. Refine the search by the Type property, and then filter the results by JPEG image. Select the file dr4 and add the tag Umbrella table. Add the same tag to the file dr8 and then create a search using the criteria tag:umbrella table Assignment 2. On your Start screen, create a group that contains the apps Travel, Maps, Weather, and Calendar. Display each tile in its Smaller size, and then name the group Trip Planning. Assignment 3. The following question has arrived at the Help Desk from an employee at the Bell Orchid Hotel's corporate office. In a Word document, construct a response based on your knowledge of Windows. Use good sentence structure, professional language, and a polite tone. To: Help Desk I am working on a project where I am researching three specific government websites and then storing all of my notes in several documents that I have created. Is there any way that I could make it easier to access these three websites and three documents without opening a lot of windows every time I need to start and stop work on this project?
