5 Information Assurance Software Instructions Use these instructions to learn how to load the following onto your CN3 and CN4 Handheld Terminals (HHT) running Windows Mobile 6.1: Apriva BT200-T or Model ARx (AR5, AR6, and AR7) Smart Card Readers Odyssey Access Client TM OAC software Apriva Guard TM Model ARx Apriva BT200-T The Model ARx and Apriva BT200-T Smart Card Readers To install the Information Assurance software, you need to follow these steps: 1 Load the Information Assurance software. 2 Set up the HHT. 3 Install the BT200-T or the ARx. 4 Install the Odyssey Access Client and applications. 5 Enable the Apriva Guard software 6 Configure Apriva Guard 7 Configure the OAC. 6 Load the Information Assurance Software Depending on the configuration of the HHT, the Information Assurance software may already be installed. Use this section to: verify that the Information Assurance Software is installed. download the Information Assurance software. load the Information Assurance software onto the HTT. Verify That the Information Assurance Software is Installed Use this section to verify whether or not you have the Information Assurance Software installed onto your HHT. 1 Tap Start > Programs > File Explorer, and browse to the \My Devices folder. 2 If you see the \DoD folder, the Information Assurance software is installed, go to Set Up the HHT on page 7. If you do not see the \DoD folder, download the software and load it onto the HTT, go to the next section. Download the Information Assurance Software Use this section to learn how to download and load the Information Assurance software onto your HHT. 1 Go to and log in using your username and password. 2 Select Support > Downloads and choose your HHT. 3 Download the Information Assurance software.cab file. Load the Information Assurance Software On the HHT Use this section to learn how to load the Information Assurance Software onto your HHT. When you load the Information Assurance Software onto your HHT, any applications you installed are deleted. You can reinstall them during the Information Assurance software installation process. 6 Information Assurance Software for Windows Mobile 6.1 Instructions

7 Set Up the HHT 1 Establish an ActiveSync connection between the HHT and your desktop PC. 2 Browse to the \Flash File Store\SSPB directory on your HHT and create a new folder named \SRS. If the \SRS folder already exists, delete it and recreate it. 3 Copy the Information Assurance software.cab file to the \SRS folder. 4 Clean boot the HHT. The HHT extracts all of the files that are required for installation and reboots several times. Wait for the HHT to stop booting and continue to the next section. This section explains how to set up the HHT so that you can install the BT200-T or ARx smart card reader. 1 If you are using the BT200-T, continue with Step 2. If you are using the ARx, connect it to your HHT. The green LED turns on and indicates that it is powered on and properly connected to the HHT. 2 Tap OK when the Agreement screen appears. 8 3 If the Setup Assistant screen appears on a CNx (such as a CN3 or CN4): a Tap Exit when the Setup Assistant Screen appears. b Tap Yes when the Are You Sure You Want to Exit? message appears. c Tap No when the Do You Want to Auto-Start the Setup Assistant Next Boot? message appears. 4 Tap the Clock icon and set the time and date and save your settings by tapping OK. 5 Press the yellow Power button to turn off the HHT and then press it again to cycle power from the HHT. Make sure you complete Steps 4 and 5 exactly as described. If you do not, the date is set back to 2005 at the end of the installation, and you will not be able to unlock the HHT because no CACs were issued to work with the HHT in that year. 6 Tap the HHT icon in the lower right corner and select Enable > Assured Radio Deactivation. The HHT reboots. 7 If you are using the BT200-T, see the next section. 9 Install the BT200-T Software Use this section to learn how to install the BT200-T software onto your HHT. 1 Scan this bar code to install the Apriva Smart Card driver: 2 Place your HHT into a communications dock. 3 Connect a USB cable to your dock and to the BT200-T using the USB adapter provided. 10 4 Press the Power button on the BT200-T. The green LED blinks to indicate that there is a USB connection present. Power button Green LED Note: On occasion, your HHT may display an ActiveSync message during this Step. If this message appears, click X to close it. 5 Tap Start > Settings > the System tab > Apriva Reader. 6 Tap Test Connection. 7 Tap OK when the test is complete. 10 Information Assurance Software for Windows Mobile 6.1 Instructions

12 Tap the Details tab. 13 Tap Verify Signatures.

11 8 Tap the Version tab. The version screen appears. 9 Tap Update. 10 Select the AprivaReaderxxxx.bin file where xxxx is the version number and tap Yes to update. 11 When the installation is complete, tap OK. 12 Tap the Details tab. 13 Tap Verify Signatures. 15 Cycle power on the BT200-T by pressing the Power button twice. 16 Tap Pair, and when the Pairing Complete screen appears tap OK. 17 Tap Bluetooth. 18 Unplug the BT200-T and tap Test Connection.

If not, go back to Step Tap the ok button to close the Apriva Reader application. Install the OAC and Applications Use the Odyssey Access Client (OAC) to enable security on your HHT. OAC is an enterprise-class access client software that is FIPs Level 1 certified and delivers comprehensive support for advanced protocols required for security network access. After OAC is installed, install any applications you may need to use onto your HHT. 1 Scan this bar code: 2 Select the Device radio button and click Install. Use Apriva Guard to lock down your HHT. While locked down, only authorized common access cards (CACs) are able to access information on the HHT. Make sure you set the time and date, and cycled power to the HHT before you enable Apriva Guard. 14 4 Select a certificate setting. To load the Signature certificate default settings, scan this bar code: The HTT reboots and Apriva Guard is enabled. To configure the rest of the settings, you need an authorized CAC card. 15 b Select the certificates you want to load onto the HHT and tap Ok. The HTT reboots and Apriva Guard is enabled. To configure the rest of the settings, you need an authorized CAC card. 5 When the lock screen appears, insert your CAC and tap Login. 6 Enter your Pin and tap Ok. You now have access to your HHT. 7 If you did not install OAC, your setup is complete. Otherwise, continue to the next section to configure OAC on your HHT. How to Configure Apriva Guard After you install Apriva Guard, you can configure the way it interacts with the OAC. You have two options: Disable Wi-Fi when you remove the CAC. It is re-enabled when a CAC is inserted, and the PIN you entered is validated. Wi-Fi always enabled, but Apriva Guard locks down your HHT when a CAC is removed. 16 Disable Wi-Fi When a CAC Is Removed By default, Apriva Guard disables Wi-Fi when you remove the CAC. It is re-enabled when a CAC is inserted, and the PIN you entered is validated. 2 Tap ok when the prompt appears to open the OAC application. If the prompt does not appear, tap Start > Programs > OAC. 3 Tap Help > License Keys.

17 Configure the OAC If you install the OAC on your HHT, you need to configure it before it will run. Use this section to learn how to configure OAC for your HTT for the first time. 1 After you install Apriva Guard, log in to the HHT. 2 Tap ok when the prompt appears to open the OAC application. If the prompt does not appear, tap Start > Programs > OAC. 3 Tap Help > License Keys. Note: If you do not own a license key, purchase the OAC FIPS Edition license key from CLIN 0031 GA. 5 Tap Settings > Networks > the Add button. 6 In Network Name (SSID) text box, type the SSID and tap Next. 7 In Association mode, select xsec or WPA2. 8 Select FIPS mode required. 9 Tap Next.

17 Select the certificate you want to use. 18 Tap Next. 19 Tap Finish. 20 Tap ok.

23 Tap Settings > Enable FIPS. 24 Warm boot the HHT by holding down the Power button until the blue scan light turns on. 25 When the lock screen appears, insert your CAC and tap Login.

You have access to your HHT. 27 Verify the status of your network by making sure that it says Open and Authenticated, and tap Ok. If the OAC network status does not appear, tap Start > Programs > OAC. 28 If the Establish Connection dialog box appears: a Tap Work. b Tap Connect. 21 30 Select the Advanced tab > Select Networks. 31 Change both networks to My Work Network and tap ok 32 Tap ok again to exit the Communications screen. 33 Tap the Network Cards icon. 34 From My Network card connection connects to:, select Work. 35 Select Broadcom as your network card, and tap ok.
