6 3. How to import data to GrandNode Ok, you have plugin, you have exported files and you don t know what to do with them? First of all you need to have installed GrandNode. We will focus on importing data to local environment. There are two ways to do that. Note: It s recommended to make import on clean installation and don t forget to make backup of database when you want to make import on not clean installation. Note: Please remember that when you want to import product list to import all of tables, because product is related with categories, manufacturers, specification, attributes and tags, etc. Omission of the table may result in application errors. There are two ways to import data to GrandNode: 1) Importing by command line 2) Importing by free to non commercial use MongoChef GUI version. Let s start with first way. Localize your mongodb directory, for ease copy all exported files to the for example C:\exported directory. Open your cmd.exe and go on. First step is to go into your mongodb directory. In my case it s: To import data into the database mongo we use mongoimport. 1) /d name of your GrandNode database, which one you choose in installation process. 2) /c table which one you want to import. In example I want to import Categories list so I choose Category collection. Note: Every collection is named the same as exported files. So if you have file called Category.json the collection will be Category. 3) drop for safety cases it s necessary to add drop to clear existing collection. 4) --file is a path to your exported file. I copied this to the main directory of disk C so my path is C:\Categories.json

7 Full command to paste: mongoimport /d YourDatabase /c Collection --drop --file C:\PathToJSON After successful process of import you will get message shown above. And that s all. All of data which you have in nopcommerce, from this moment will be available in GrandNode too.

9 On the left side of the screen shows all tables in the database. Choose collection which you want to import and double click on it. Now you will have enabled Import button in the top menu. Click it.

10 Choose file from your ExportImport directory in nopcommerce, change Import mode to Always insert with new_id and click import. And that s it. All data from nopcommerce table which you choose are now imported to new database in GrandNode.
